Another New and Happy Blackbird Owner!

Hi All,

I bought a Blackbird last week and found this site which looked useful so thought I would say Hi! I purchased the slightly faster Candy Blue model it's a 2002 EFI with 16,000 miles on the clock.

It's a great bike, much more civilised than my old RRY Fireblade. It's been left fairly standard by the last 2 owners. I was going to post some pictures but can't work out how to do it yet in this editor!

The brakes are still linked and I find them ok, but am surprised by how wooden the rear brake feels considering it's also operating a little of the front brake too.

Other than that it's brilliant.....

:yo:I got my blackbird in april . Yes i am so pleased with it got a black one on a 02 plate . Just booked the ferry to france on 29th june plymouth to roscoff first time going over with a bike but ha that what the bike for.

Europe + Bird = Fun Fun Fun Fun and more fun. We have done many miles in europe and they have all been great, people you go with also add loads to the trip.

Take no notice of the colour... all of them are great machines (even thought the 1400GTR is above it in the MCN hyper tourer class )

Enjoy it Rfearn. We had ours for 8 years without incident (apart from a small drop at one of the SOSB's), and would still have it now barring my wrist problems)

You made a good choice...

Thanks for all the replies so we have determined one thing...Candy Blue is the coolest and fastest....just as I thought!

Gonna try and fit a Scottoiler and hopefully meet up with some of you on a rideout sometime soon?
