A question for smokers

Why have we become so intolerant of other peoples habits ? (spitting & chewing gum not included). If the council employed a road sweeper then fag ends wouldn't be a problem.

If you don't like children in shops, use the internet, saves time and energy.

The kids, chewing gum, smoking complaints all centre around one small but very very significant problem with our society that affects everything we do, from going for a walk to driving to work.

It's a simple case of common decency and this attitude of "I'm gonna do what the f*ck I want, when I want and to hell with everyone else"

That's all it is. If people could be a little considerate and think how their actions affect other people then there wouldn't be a problem with rioting kids, chewing gum on the floor, invasive smoking etc. and imagine the impact on all aspects of life if people just paid a little thought while looking out for number one!

I try and be mostly considerate in most things I do and it doesn't stop me having fun, doing what I want, getting to work, going shopping etc etc...

I know that reading this, I seem like a right sanctimonious asshole.. but that's the point!!! You don't have to be a bloody messiah in order to be a considerate person.

And the irony of it all is, that if everyone was more considerate, these smaller things would actually be tolerated if they did still happen!!

Don't know where that all came from...???....

Couldn't agree more. I for one, will continue doing what I enjoy. However, I will always take into consideration others, when indulging in any of my "anti-social" pastimes.

But sorry Derek, you really do seem to be out of touch with reality:

if you witness delinquency, or bad language challenge it, tell the youth(s) that you find their behaviour unacceptable sometimes the kids will actually apologise

I once spoke to a teenager (politely as it happens) who decided to use a neighbours fence as a short cut - went out next morning , the aerial had been broken off my car (not likely to be an opportunist vandal, as we live in a cul-de-sac).

And who are you exactly, to require an excuse for my (or anybody elses) smoking ? There are but a few people who have this right, and let me tell you fella - YOU AIN'T ONE OF 'EM !!

So, I don't give two fecks whether or not you approve of smoking (or smokers) - I'm sure you're absolutely bloody perfect

And BTW Lumpy, the dictionary definition of "Fuckwit" is a stupid person :f

So everytime you light a cig you are considering your chances of becoming another smoking related statistic, and the chance that your kids could be left without a father

Not out of touch at all, do we let them get away with it for fear of repercussions, that is why they do it because people are too frightened to tell them or they think it is someone else's responsibility.

If you want to smell like an ashtray and smoke yourself to death then that's up to you and you don't need to excuse yourself to me, are your family happy that you smoke?

undefinedFar from perfect but this debate is about smoking, not my vices
