I have a permanent bad eye, beat that.

And I have had an injection direct into the eyeball.

win.
I have had a metal scraped out of my eye after being in there for 3 days and grown over, twice because they missed a bit the first time, not something I want to experience a third time :( I have a shadow in my vision from that despite them telling me it would improve as the years went by

And its the other eye that is closed again this morning

Probably not as bad as Dezza's stubbed toe that he is too shy to tell anyone about :jaja-no:

Visiting parents darn sarf...

Went for a drive with my brother and Mr dad.

While sat at some temporary traffic lights a bright shiny harley filtered alongside, blipped the throttle and silence fell....

We left to the sound of a worrying starter motor but not must else...

Finished off the magic floating television installation. A bit more work needed in addition to what I had planned - I hadn’t anticipated the need to put a cover over the top of the space behind the tv to hide the AV equipment and, in particular, all the cabling.

Annoyingly I had bought a four way IR extender - despite all the AV equipment being hidden behind the tv the remote works fine.

Always satisfying to do a fairly big job using only bits of timber that I have hoarded over the years that I might need one day’.

Nipped out and bought Mrs B a big bunch of roses for our anniversary tomorrow.

Translation.............

I chucked the telly in the pond :meparto:
Interestingly big flatscreen outdoor specific TVs are becoming readily available...at a price!

If I ever have a neighbour that gets one it’ll have a brick through it in no time at all.

Went to Tesco to get some ingredients for Dezza‘s curry.
Walked pup.
Shovelled a quarter of a tonne of slate into the trenches under the front bays of the house.
Did three loads of washing.
Prepped Dezza’s curry for Mrs P and MIL.
All of the above scored me some serious brownie points.
Had a blast on baby Panzer.
Walked pup again.
Had dinner.

Didn’t need to walk the Budster today (good job as I don’t think I’ve mentioned my poorly ankle) as we are babysitting his sister till tomorrow so they have both spent hours doing zoomies in the garden.

Why don’t you get your retaliation in first and throw a brick at your neighbour? :sisi2:

Why? Who’s got a sore ankle? I have but I’ve not told anyone, I just suffer in silence.
Oooh no! You’ve got a sore ankle uncle Dezzy? How rotten for you, however I’m sure your innate Yorkshire grit will come to the fore and with due stoicism and resilience reinforced by a dose of good old northern stiff upper lip shoulder the burden with a quiet and proud dignity.
Meanwhile have I told you of the trouble I am having with split ends in my nose and ear hair, my dear fellow you can’t imagine the grinding depression that comes with it especially when I hear people sniggering, (some people have no empathy whatsoever) but like your good self I shall endeavour to overcome.
Good to see there are still a few stalwarts like ourselves that can endure life’s trials and tribulations without behaving like martyrs, and that is made all the more astounding when we live among a world of vacuous snowflakes complaining about everything that isn’t important.
I salute you sir, and all you stand (albeit a bit awkwardly) for.

Gave the walls and woodwork in and around the bathroom a second coat of paint to leave it as I found when I move out next week.

Nipped into work to collect some boxes to pack my stuff in in preparation for the aforementioned house move.

Back home half an hour ago from visiting parents.
They're garden is now tidy & sick and span.

185 ish miles each way.
A few numb and achey bits-including the svelt arse!!

My ankle is fine though.

Got home to find son seems to have a good day. Rugby club bar was open so he spent the afternoon/evening there, they had a BBQ going from 3.00pm.
