It was a reference to Dr Who, specifically Matt Smith who in his first episode ate fish fingers & custard. He may well have been pregnant but more than likely had just regenerated from David Tennant :D

Nope...That's the froggies version of an English vanilla slice..That's why they use 'creme' i.e. 'Mille-feuilles'
cause they ain't got a word for custard. Their version has jam in it..so they totally overcomplicated it.
Like most of their recipes.

No, they have two words- "creme anglaise"

Which is milk and cream...not feckin custard..
I would like to see you put that between two pastry slices and make it stand up like a vanilla slice.
