It was a reference to Dr Who, specifically Matt Smith who in his first episode ate fish fingers & custard. He may well have been pregnant but more than likely had just regenerated from David Tennant
Cold custard should only be eaten when sandwiched between two slices of puff pastry...
The vanilla slice.

You sir, are a bit of a twonk.
a vanilla slice should have vanilla cream and not custard
Nope...That's the froggies version of an English vanilla slice..That's why they use 'creme' i.e. 'Mille-feuilles'
cause they ain't got a word for custard. Their version has jam in it..so they totally overcomplicated it.
Like most of their recipes.
If I had the money I could buy this

No, they have two words- "creme anglaise"
Looks like you viciously assaulted your earlier pudding....
It's milk/cream and eggs.Which is milk and cream...not feckin custard..
I would like to see you put that between two pastry slices and make it stand up like a vanilla slice.
