alas it’s not as exciting as it sounds ......

my youngest wanted a high rise bed, the legs will be replaced with 2m long legs and braced accordingly (and anchored to the wall just in case)
His desk will now fit underneath and more space in the room

TBH it would have been easier to buy a new bed !!

My boy is more than happy with the result !!

I could have made it more aesthetically pleasing but he wanted something simple .....

flowers will be dead by tomorrow.

Three days on Derek, different bananas but same flowers......a little water and a good dose of decent conversation does wonders......

Not sure about the bananas though, appear to be moving toward over ripe at one end and not ripe at the other......

Nice...I thought I was the only person in the world to drink coffee in pubs!!

Brave going out for a walk today as well. Respect.

No you’re not, I do it now and again to keep the bar staff on their toes in my local.
You should see their faces when I walk in, they automatically go to pour me a pint of real ale and I order a coffee, priceless.
Keep em guessing says I;)

Today I acquired three custom knives made by an old mate Tony who sadly passed away the year before last, during a conversation with his daughter in town I mentioned the fact that although I had always meant to commission one I had never got round to it.
Sunday I rang his wife and she said come round, she probably had something for me, was absolutely choked beyond belief when she gave me three works of art , all made from D2. Tool steel with micarta scales, offered good money but she wasn’t interested, so asked what charity she supported.
, Ilfracombe dogs trust just got a large donation.
Up in the cabinet now, feeling that somehow, Tony’s not too far away.

I don't know what it was other than I had to carry it home in the 25 minute walk back to my son's place from Sainsbury's.

It was very heavy.

Also some baby clothes.

Living the dream.....

That is the sadness of life, things we intend to do, then it's too late.

On a less important theme, I wished I listened to my grandmother. I'm trying to trace my great grandfather now as it happens I'm living 30mins away from where he had his business.
