XMAS toy ride

Thanks guys

Its looking like there may be a good little turnout..
Its not a very exciting day, quite the opposite actually BUT it shows we care and the atmosphere is electric. I shall give it a few more days and then i'll arrange a meeting place so we can ride in together and get some lovely pics.

ERIC, i shall set the meeting time for YOU 1 hour prior to ours which gives plenty of margin for lateness. i'm aware of your timing fame.

I will be coming on the outfit - if my lad doesn't want to come and someone does want to dress up as Santa please jump in the outfit! No helmet needed - unless it's pissing down! I might see if the fancy dress shop next door to my work has one to lend out.

What time does all this kick off? I've just done an AA route search, and it's 130 m'way miles for me...bit boring...or any one of several more interesting ways of getting there, which would take a bit longer.

Could well be up for this...unless it's blowing a gale. I'm not putting my Bird away for the winter, but i'm not coming out to play in silly weather :p

HERE IT IS FOLKS, the meeting point and times for the BIRD ride-in to the Salvation Army Start point.......

Saturday 20th November, meeting on the carpark opposite 'PICCADILLY' railway stn, FAIRFIELD rd junction of Travis St..at 10:00am sharp.

The railway station is new in its location and some AUTO Routes are not upto date so i suggest you go off FAIRFIELD RD / TRAVIS ST and also follow signs for 'PICCADILLY' railway stn..

Once we are together we will set off on a 1 mile dash across M/cr to the main meeting point where you will be registered on the ride and given a brew & bacon/sausage butty for your trouble. At approx 11am the convoy leaves Wilmott St and heads through the city centre where the cops stop ALL the traffic and let us through,,we pass MAN UNITED football grnd and head to the TRAFFORD CENTRE. Once at the centre we hand over toys, money, gifts etc to the SALLY ARMY and those in fine voice can warble out a carrol or 3.
Its not a long ride nor is it a good ride but it is for the kids and the look on the face of joe public is a picture..

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try and make it, its early but so what..
The BIRD meet point is very easy to find as its well sign posted in the city.

So thats 10:00 AM SHARP,, will wait until 10:10 but NO later (Eric)
