What was your first road bike ?

I had Bond Minicar three-wheelers that had Villiers engines (9E singles and 4T twins) They had a system that started the engine in reverse. Great fun - 4 reverse gears!

I always reckoned the later 250 Enfields had soft guts.. I knew of two or three that broke cranks or lost rods
The sport's model had an aluminium head no problems. But the standard 250 was cast iron and were prone to cracking across to the plug hole.
