What have I done today?

Not played golf as it is lashing down and forecast to do so for the rest of the day.

Not gone to Arundel Castle to see the spectacular annual tulip display (highly recommended!) as it is lashing down and forecast to do so for the rest of the day.

Not gone for a walk around The Cuckmere Vally and Seven Sisters to see the lambs as it is lashing down and forecast to do so for the rest of the day.

Managed to persuade myself to get up and have a shower, now laying on the bed in my dressing gown wondering if there is any point in getting dressed.

Just back from some shopping.

'Er Indoors, SWMBO also wanted a new hair brush

What a palaver!

After I don't know how many different shops and umpteen different types of brush, purposes etc.

Finally the item purchased looks more like a paddle, is apparently environmentally friendly, works on fragile/damaged hair (accompanied with the comment "it'll still be OK on normal hair though").

Oh yes, it also smells of coconut. I know that because it was just stuffed under my nose to prove it.

Bit of an update…I did get dresssed.

Got as far as the sofa and watched 24 Hours in Police Custody and The Real CSI.

Might do a few episodes of Dad’s Army later before the football, half way through Series 7.

Still raining but has now been joined by 40mph + wind.

However, a couple of hours sunshine earlier charged the batteries up to 100%.

Which is nice.

Got as far as the sofa and watched 24 Hours in Police Custody and The Real CSI.

Might do a few episodes of Dad’s Army later before the football, half way through Series 7.

Still raining but has now been joined by 40mph + wind.

However, a couple of hours sunshine earlier charged the batteries up to 100%.

Which is nice.

Sounds like the perfect day to me. Your only mistake was taking a shower. That's a complete waste of time that could have been better utilised watching the telly.

I got up late. Got my neighbour to take the dog for morning walkies. She was going anyway and she needs the exercise.

I too watched 24 hours in police custody from last night which was an old one that I hadn't seen. Then got stuck into series one of Kin which is pretty good. Had to stop to take a dump which, unlike a shower, is essential. Found the remains of last nights pizza in the fridge so that's the catering taken care of.

I kept an eye open to make sure I didn't miss my neighbour going for afternoon walkies and went back to the sofa.

Just contemplating washing my hair......

Yesterday did a 5 mile walk with the Ramblers, lovely walk but very muddy and squiggy, had to have a power nap when I got home, then chased mad parrot around sitting room

Quite an industrious day today.
Went for breakfast with Angie and the gang went back to her gaff and unblocked the kitchen sink which had backed up into the washing machine, got home put 3 coats of black gloss on the Enfields carrier where I’d had tapped blocks welded on, finished marking drilling and fitted 4 shelves in a tall kitchen cupboard and squared the room away, defrosted the freezer and got a massive chilli on the go in the crockpot.
Feckin knackered now.

Delivery today of four new dining room chairs.

Ordered at the beginning of February.

Arrived as arranged, except when unboxed they found one has a broken leg.

Once again the best of British business continues to deliver nothing but failure.
