It is impossible to go fast on them and handling, with the best will in the world, can be likened to the Titanic unless you are gonna rip it apart, put decent forks on it and beef up the frame around the swing arm mount and the head stock... Then loose about 40 or so kilos of weight

But bottom line is, it is all in the eye of the beholder.. Be a crappy boring world if we all liked the same :)
I have to ask John - why do you like riding the Bird which can also be likened to The Titanic in terms of handling, at times after it hit the iceberg?

I'm surprised at that question Andy there isn't a lot wrong with a stock birds handling if fact its damn good for a big bike of this type if everything is in good condition & its only when you really start pushing them that you find improvements can be made

I totally agree - but as you say it is a big bike so by definition the handling is compromised. E=MC squared and that stuff.

The R6 has significantly better handling for exactly the same reason.
