Ahhhh, the good old days, these newbs have something to go at if they want too match us never mind beat us.

Remember the Sunday night chat room using MSN messenger. Some of best rideouts were concieved on there.

Having a Wales rideout, the original Sheepfest I think you could say, meeting at Shrops's house in Ludlo, blating round wales, going to Abudabi (Pete the Greek) then back to the Midlands and having 15'ish people sleep at our house. Tents in the back garden and people on the floor, and Bert and others in the local hotel. Then on the Sunday up to Matlock and the Cat'n'fiddle. Several hundred miles riden in the persuit of Fun. And, more importantly, a good time had by all.

Assen, 5 years on the run, so many stories to tell from there, others will recall and post I hope. Remember NICO, the reg plate on the ferarri.

More recently going to the Dutch Blackbird Owners meeting and adding to there 200+ blackbirds in one place.

I could go on, I hope that others will post their memories.

Last Night in Holland

Me and Jon sat outside the hotel after the Assen MotoGP - last night before the early morning ride back to blighty

Ruud - hotel owner came out and we ordered ANOTHER beer...

" You've drunk us dry - all I have left is bottles of Grolsch"

"2 of them then please"

So we got served and Ruud said "Goodnight"

10 minutes later, woman Night Manager came outside and said to me and Jon "Last Orders before I go home?"

"Nar - we'll be sensible - this will be the last one - thanks"

"OK - I'm off home - goodnight"

And she left

Jon and me sat there for a while - then I asked him ...

"You got your keys mate?"

"Nope - Anya's gone to bed and taken them with her"

"You got your keys Bert?"

"Nope"

"Everyone else has gone to bed mate"

"Bollox"

LOL

So me and Jon spend the next 30 minutes throwing stones at bedroom windows trying to wake some fooker up - any fook up in fact

All we could hear was Moog snoring!! Fook he can snore to Gold Olympic Standard

So we try and break into the hotel - not easy when you're pissed - and giggling

Eventually we manage to find a door that isn't locked - just pulled tight and Jon manages to easy his fingernails behind the draught strip and pull the door open

Got to bed I think about 1.30am

4.30am and we're all up for the mad dash back to Calais

Thats when I realised that it's still dark at 4.30 in the morning in Holland

And guess who'd just brought with him a black visor?

I wasn't getting into competition with my comment - just pointing out that anyone who can be bothered to go out and meet up with folks that get together can have just as good a time :-0)
