Well...just remember they're not official Honda colours.

Personally, I'd be worried about riding a bike that was "Kermit Green" - really! :-0)

Nearly forgot - here's a comment from VD: "By checking the bike dimensions, this bike is huge...

I was thinking if it could be used for commuting but it looks like no chance: vfr1200 width is 886 mm

the current vfr is 735 mm

even the xx was 720

The new bike is almost the size of a varadero (925). It looks like the purpose is only touring (as a competior for the FJR, GTR, BMWs), sad news as VFRs were solid all around bikes."

Funny you should mention Kermit! In the CB heydays my "handle" was Kermit from the Walled City! Blush!

I'm sure the shape and style will grow on folks - remember when the Ford Sierra with the whale tails first came out.

The bigger problem is it's just too complex, bet the reg/rec is still crap :yo:

Yeh... but that's a proper tourer... not a "sports tourer" like the VFR! :dunno:

Eric my Owd Flower - you've made more posts on this ere forum in 24 hours than you have in the last 12 months!!

Just accept - the new Large Viffer is a "Beaut"

Just imagine the fun you and L would have touring at "pace" all over Europe watching all those Moto GP's throughout 2010 knowing that the design of the "Beaut" between your legs was inspired by the Honda Short-Arsed Knob-Jockeys known as Grand Prix Riders

Smooth Shaft Drive with no maintenance worries ......

Electronic Slipper Clutch.......

Pillion Seat well forward so L can grip onto your "Beaut" really well...

Starting to appeal?

Thought it might!

Then, when you've done the MotoGp season, if you don't concede that, in fact, The Giant Viffer actually is better than the current BlackBird. I'll buy the bike off you.

After all it will have been well cleaned!!!

Game on?

Job done!!

Too heavy for me , I had a SV650 before the blackbird and that was top heavy as the gearbox was stacked. The blackbird is a much easier bike to ride and handle.

Think the weight quoted is fully fueled etc, therefore about the same as a Bird, cos the quoted weight of Birds is dry, no fluids. (I believe)

Biggest Issue I have is Tank size, I never get much over 140 from the bird, so I'd be amazed If I get much over 100 from this.

 OK, OK. Ya got me! fl4g71 No argument about the potential high-quality ride/handling/equipment/specification that's available -

To be honest, I can't wait to get a test ride, but I'll hold back for the new versions to come along before making any meaningful decisions on whether to buy or not. It is, after all, a Honda… And yes, it will “grow” on people, just as the new ‘Blade did after the furore about its blunt nose had died down.

...but

...it's still

… fookin'

...UGLY!! :puke: :}

A-A-rrrr... Ya might be needin' a "U-turn" smilie about now, Barrie!!

...Sorry, mate!!   :k

Gotcha ya Bastid [nearly]

So offer is still there ........

Buy one - do the full MotoGP circuit for 2010 [you KNOW you want to] - do the usual write-up with pics for all to read

And if at the end you don't admit it's better than the current BlackBird, I'll buy the Viffer off you at a sensible market price

Deal? Or No Deal?
