Hey guys, not new but returning!

I am delighted to say that AT LAST we are going through the process of putting my gorgeous bird back on the road!

It's a 51 plate silver limited edition and has been sitting quietly waiting for me in the garage for the last 7 years whilst I have dicked around trying to get my business up and running!

Well biz is good and the bike is on the way to repair!

It's gonna be good to be back, just a shame it will be too late for the Andover bash.

See you on the inside ;)

Nothing to stop you coming to meet us at the Andover bash without your Bird, you know. A few of us bring caravans and whilst the Bird is good, it's not up to towing a caravan. Also, the Sweetie Goddess will be gracing the bash with her presence to make good on the renowned....

Want a sweetie, little boy?

Greetings to all, new to the forum and I've got to say, I've been cracked up reading some of this stuff!, fantastic site. 8rfl@ I have an 07 Bird, (black of course) as i've heard that the red ones are slow & gay, also have a 2K geared down R1 that is scary but not a patch on the bird. Have had a lot of bikes during the last 30+ years, but nothing as iconic as my bird,.....I'm lovin' it. Great forum, great banter. Cheers. :-0)

welcome. Indeed red ones are gay but so are Apple products. Do you have any of those before we pass judgement on your sexuality?

We do have all sorts on here. There is even a ladyboy who does not have a red bike but is an apple fanbois.

There are also a whole heap of Dibnahs who will swear their flat-spotted steam driven bike is better than the silky EFI variant.

R.

P.S - don't refuse the advances of the sweety elf - see above.

newbie (i hope)

hi peeps just intoducing myself, have got a stonking Aprilia rsv at the mo,(its for sale) but hopefully getting a blackbird soonest, one thing i had noticed in comparing the two bikes (it is tight in my shed) the bird is 4inches longer, no probs, half and inch narrower ?? but a whopping 38 kilos lighter, (83 lbs. to us that still speak english) lol, someones telling "porkies" on this one surely,
blackbird 223 kg empty, aprilia 274kg full, take off 18 litres at 0.77 which is 13kg, and we get, blackbird in at 223 kg and aprilia in at 261 kg, dont sound right ??

Another Newbie in sussex

hello everyone
I am probably the shortest bird owner at 5ft 5
about a month ago I bought a 2000 with just under 39000 miles on the clock
I had a test ride down to the new forest camping for a weekend, Then jumped on the euro tunnel and had a week touring France on it.
What a great bike just feels and looks to big for me.
when I got back I rotated the swinging arm linkage and slid the forks through the yokes by 15mm. I have had a blast out and covered just over 100 miles seemed to ride OK but not sure what it will be like two up or with some weight on the back. we will soon find out.
looking forward to next year for a two week ride into Europe.
