Where's the best place to find a live controlled by the ignition switch on an FI Bbird? :-0)

Same place as on a carb bird??? :dunno:

May I remind you Quiney that the Help Section is the only place where we do NOT take the piss until at least a couple of correct answers are given. You've been a big help! NOT.

OK, answers in the wrong order.
How about the front brake light micro switch. @tu*

Batttery in your satnav, Quiney?

12v + goes from fuse to bulb and then through the micro switch to earth. Your satnav will get power to charge the internal battery until you brake. When you brake your external satnav power will effectively be shorted out. The battery in your satnav keeps everything going so you don't notice. It would probably do for a mini voltmeter providing you don't mind the reading going to 0v very time you brake. 8rfl@

Again this is an earth, DEG5Y.

What about the live to the kill switch?

It would provide power until you press the kill switch which is probably never. Personally I would be reluctant to touch such a potentially vital safety feature.

Fusebox.

I take a feed from the fan fuse to trigger a relay in my accessory fusebox

One side of all the rear lamps goes to earth (light/brake/indicators)
Therefore the other side must be fed from a (switched) live feed.

I've asked Jaws if he can provide a link to a circuit diagram. My memory is fooked. Old age! 8rfl@

Probably will only get used when the bike is on its side (Inj should stop anyway due to the tilt switch) and the bikes probably fooked then anyway!

Your only putting a volt meter in so the best place would be straight after the ignition switch, that way you will be reading a non corrupted voltage. Any bad joint after this point will drop the voltage in the circuit you have connected it into.
