Thought of Keswick?

Hi Boys

Don't mean to throw a spanner in the works, but in Keswick there are far more B&B's near the town centre. In our humble opinion it's nicer than Ambleside. We have been on a bike week end there last year and they emptied the garage to get 15 bikes in. If your interested I'll get the details for you. We will join up with you some time over the week end

im on the case..in fact ive been on the case most weekend and all of tonightc7u8
the problem we have is getting the amount of rooms we need combined with no fooker wants to walk more than 2 mins(me included lol) to grub and beer and we need secureish parking for the pride and joys
but fear not my fellow birds..i will deliver..even if its tent pitches and a minibus to the grub(only kidding)%$fan

ok still looking all of tonight as well as last night up to 1:30am!:xm
problem is most places dont have either enough rooms to take us all or they are part booked so cant do it, or we have to park on busy public roads..the list goes on, some of the links you sent dont have enough rooms at all etc etc:B
i did find a nice place first of all but it was out of town..but had swimming pool , full size snooker table, pool table, bar, bar meals and a fooking spa bath(easy dave)..but i cant find the bugger now
im expanding the search now to simalar places out of town but where we have all the stuff we need for an evenings entertainment..hope thats ok?

PS i have located a b&b with all the rooms we need, only downpont is street parking the bikes..but may keep this one as a back up..looks quiet nice..NO flowers on the beds or wallpaper:bow:

Security should not be a real problem up there.
If a few of us have chains we could chain the bike together.
(I would have no fear leaving the bike with just the alarm, on the street up there.)

When Rolfy and I went up last Sept we Chained the bikes together at the Truckstop at Carnforth on the Friday night but we didn't bother the rest of the time we were up there and we stayed at a hotel right next door to a pub. I agree with Quiney I don't think it would be any great problem either.
