See - I probably would've kept quiet about that and not put it on here!! Fair play to ya!

Seriously though - bad luck DA. That was looking like a very enjoyable ride otherwise. Jeez - how quick the situation can change, eh? Glad you're not too badly knocked about.

The anticipation of the 'unplanned' bit of the video really raised my heart rate!! Of course, when I started watching I hadn't worked out that the off bit was (obviously) right at the end of the video, duh!!

two sighting laps and no overtaking to get some heat in the tyres .. 4 bikes overtaken on lap one before cascades and close to full pace ... not bad for an instructor innit d34l
please dont tell me it was the opening session of the day as well

reminded me a bit of the Rossi -Sete wipe out, only Rossi new what he was doing :-0) :-0)

joking pal cos I know your ok (ish) .. too easily to be distracted with the camera tho, Id part swap it for some tyre warmers.. (if it aint bent) h1d1ng2

enough sympathy from me then .. Ill check the garage out for some Suzook bits and let you know what I have mate ..

Take it easy pal .. speak soon :k

...Last session before dinner, M8 - wuncha-knowit?

Posted this elsewhere - but..

As far as I'm concerned I would have hit the heavily-braking bike ahead of me, camera or no camera.

Even HE has watched the video and he doesn't know why he braked so hard and (as far as I'm comcermed) unecessarily for no apparent reason.

If you watch the bike ahead of us you'll see it peel into the corner quite normally as Keith anchors up to a virtual standstill! I entered the corner at my "normal" pace on a down-shift - then the world was full of Ducati and I had nowhere to go - simple as that!

I do, however, accept full responsibility for the crash - there's no excuse for running into the back of someone ahead of you - although I might rightfully claim there are mitigating circumstances in this particular case -

Great Vid what kind of kit are you using and if expensive what would you recoomend for a cheaper option brok3 hoping to get some pennies for christmas for me to spend on toys for myself but may have vouchers etc for days out next year on a trail ride or something similar

Glad to hear you OK ish all the same

..I was using my 5-year-old Hein Gericke one-piece (now destroyed). After three, on-track crashes (two fast (-ish) and this last (slowing down) one), all I'd suggest is that you buy the best you can afford in every department -helmet, gloves, boots and leathers - especially if you're doing trackdays (cue DS). Crashing on a trackday is cool - as long as you survive in good health - because it teaches you that - as far as self-protection is concerned...spend a million quid if you've got it...bl4hbl4h

...but if you're going "stupid" on the roads, then believe me - nothing will protect you when you crash. p0pc0rn41

I don't know Eric.... We let you out for one minute, and you go round bashing Dukes!!
Glad your ok, Vid is great but I feel the ending needs working on, usually the hero is seen walking off hand in hand with a gorgeous woman, or being presented with a medal.
Spose having your clothes ripped off you is rather interesting tho!!

Did you have your usual 'interesting' underwear on?

Look after yourself fella, Get well soon.

See.....................that's what happens when you go out looking for glory with the knobbers in the novice group! :-0)
Seriously though..........unlucky mate. Looks like Duke boy fecking parked it!
I had one just like that at Mallory this year during a race. Bloke was pulling 5 bike lengths on me down the straight, but I was reeling him in at evey corner. Anyway after 3ish laps I sussed him and tried outbraking him at the hairpin; twat blocks the inside line and stands on the brakes - bosh :bang: 3 offs for me this year but glad you're ok. My suit has held up all season but I'm on my second lid and on a second pair of Daytonas
I've just started a Spanish Winter Streetstock series (5 race meets over the winter - Jerez, Almeria, Gaudix, Monteblanco and Jerez again) so I know the ofski count will rise bl4hbl4h Anyway, once again unlucky mate.
Not sure what I'm doing next season if at all. Will probably just do a bit of instructing with Racedays again 'cos I can't see myself paying for track days after racing (it's like comparing road riding and trackdays!). Come and join the Gixer crew some time on track - it's a blast and the fairing bashing is fun :-:

...OO-OO...You are a one... I dropped down from the "Fast" to the "Inters" and I wasn't looking for (much) glory... :-0)
... I was just trying to do my good deed for the day...(aw-www, bless...!!) :p Got me just desserts, though, so I won't do it again - 'till the next time! :} New leathers and lid sorted - waiting for e-bay bits: back on track defo. 6 December and before then if I can fit one in.

I envy you, Joe  - I'll try to get a Racedays event in next year - and if you're ever racing "Oop North" give me a shout and I'll come along to pick up some pointers. (Thinking about it, racing's probably cheaper than trackdays!) p0pc0rn41

Anyway, it's good to hear from ya, fella - RideSafe and Keep it Rollin' :yo:

DA what are you like. You really have got to realise your not as young as you once was and you just cannot do some things now. Your near the age when you will have to fit a chair to the bike soon . Remember them.

You travelled all those miles this year through France, Italy and Spain without a scratch and then you do a few miles around a nicely tarmaced road and look what happens, disaster.

Still I,m pleased to learn that you are ok even though you will probably need an extra few bob now.

Oh I give up I know your not going to listen to me so I wish you well with your future track days and to paraphase that great American B.O keep saying this to yourself "Yes I can ". Wanna buy a cracked nose cone for a BB. You both keep safe.

Oh yer did I tell you how old I am.........

Somebody ? on a bike forum, somewhere ? has a signature that reads:

?We don?t stop riding because we get old ? we get old because we stop riding?.

This is a very useful adage, especially when talking to

a) people who think you?re too old to be on a motorcycle man8um
and/or
b) 21-year-old blonde females who are curious about motorcycles sp1ttt3

Of course, being a happily-married man, I would never consider giving up riding (and I certainly wouldn?t consider giving up my bike, either! However? if there are any 21-year-old blonde females out there?) :p

Hap-py birth-day to me-eee smilie_koc

Cheers, Hondated!

Here?s the first morning session from Oulton ? just getting warmed up before I fell off?!!
