I have one of those ladders that fold up to make a walk on platford ( use it to do the van ) .. It aint exactly high but you are most welcome to borrow it if it will help

How about putting a 'proper' roof onto it? Make it into a sun lounge.

Sorry, been busy out and about. eventually found a bloke who cleans my mates business premises for him who comes highly recommended. He will do it for less than ?200 cash so suits me.
