FFS,you lot! Get a grip! I've not read so much utter bollocks since the last lot and it beginning to sound just like a re-run of the endless thread that caused a certain individual to be ousted from the forum. It was dribble then and this is rapidly turning into dribble now!

I dint agree with Danny Wasp's extreme views on this subject.
I also don't agree with other extreme views on this subject.

Terrorists are cowardly low life's. Irrespective of skin colour, nationality or religious beliefs.

What I know will make the problem worse is alienating the vast majority of Muslims by bracketing them all as potential terrorists.

The problem I have with muslims is that as a group they are never seen to condem this sort of atrocity which to me infers a degree of endorsment. I dont know if this is real endorsement or just that their religion has a stranglehold over speaking out, but their relative silence breeds suspicion which leads to alienation.

you are from The Wirral. So am I right in assuming you wear a brightly coloured nylon tracksuit and steal cars while scrounging benefits? Or would that be stereotyping?

Personally I disagree with pretty much everything you have to say on the race/religion subject and that is ok ( up to a point) even if I don't like it. I don't have to like it, I can choose not to read it if I want.

I appear to have a different perspective to you - which you are perfectly entitled not to like - maybe the result of living and working in a city that has a well established multi cultural society. I am not saying it is perfect, it has it's problems. But what I am saying is that the huge majority get along with each other and it is absolutely the case that the overwhelming majority, regardless of race, colour or religion, are against any form of terrorism, regardless of the source or cause.

There are terrorists that claim to be representing Muslims. That does not make all Muslims bad people. Let alone terrorists.

I have no idea how to solve this mess. More innocent blood is going to be spilt and it seems likely that this is going to get even worse before it starts getting better. Closing borders is a knee jerk reaction that won't stop anything and is likely to cause more problems in the long run. What I know will make the problem worse is alienating the vast majority of Muslims by bracketing them all as potential terrorists.

You've got me bang to rights, Guv. You make an assumption about me being from Wirral but I'm not. I live here but I'm not originally from Wirral. So, you see, I can integrate and be tolerant of others. 8rfl@

If I said the sun shines in the sky, Andy would disagree with me. It's what he does. What he fails to see is that I agree with much of what he says but I have my own opinion as well.

The council of imams has issued a statement condemning all terrorists and especially those who commit atrocities in the name of Islam
That was yesterday

It's what 'he' does because 'he' doesn't agree with your general views on a difficult and emotive subject.

No games being played by me.

To some extent..
But the Mosque in the Lincoln area has so far outed about 6 radicalised buggers..

I believe they are in a lot of ways, in the same position as any governing body
Whilst most of the people are normal folk ( albeit with a belief that tends to lean towards some strange behavior in the non Islamic eyes ) what can they do ?

The leaders in this area ( as in East Anglia ) are certainly pro-active and do try to weed out the fanatics, but as mentioned elsewhere, a fanatic does not wear a badge and is more than hard to spot !

Before anyone thinks I am in any way putting up a defense, I will repeat what is often said..

Not all Muslims are terrorists
But all terrorists do seem to be Muslims .. or at least claim to be

To tar all with the same brush is wrong.. same as it would be wrong to say that all Catholics are radicals, bomb makers, child molesters or war mongers
Yet if you go back through history the Catholic faith has spawned more than a few of all the above.. 99% of Catholics, like 99% of Muslims are just ordinary folk trying to live their lives peacefully

John, contrary to what Andy may think, if the Muslim community were up front and organised in their fight against terrorists, I would support them but they are not. When I say Muslim community it highlights a problem. Why Muslim "community?" Why segregate themselves? Some come to Europe for a better place to live so why replicate the place they left. Too many questions and not enough answers.

Do you say the same about other communities Barry ?

The Jewish community springs immediately to mind ..

I've never heard of the Jews or indeed the Chinese causing a problem. At the risk of being shot down, the situation with the Islamic supporters is unprecedented. I'm in agreement with being tolerant but not totally accepting.

Israel - Jews - Gaza
They went in and murdered a guy in hospital last week.
Sum total - the world in a seriously bad as situation.
Is there a solution - doesn't look like it.
Violence begets violence.

the biggest problem in the Middle East is that the governments can't agree on a front to beat IS - if that's possible.

Geographical error there, Barrie.

Living in Chester, you are in close proximity to Merseyside and in danger of being accused of being a shell suit wearing car thief. (Potentially)

The Wirral is where the rich knobs live and the Chester accent is, as I keep telling the wife, just up-market scouse. 8rfl@
