CCT honda/jaws difference

Went to fit a jaws CCT last night and the one on the bike looks the same as the new jaws one. Is there a visible difference between OEM and jaws? Only changing it as a precaution so if its already a jaws one I'll leave it alone.

Does yours look the same? I havent fitted Jaws one yet as funnily enough the bike isnt that noisy yet, but will also be putting in a order end of month.

IIRC the Jaws CCT has two green dots on it, indicating it is the latest version. I can't remember where the dots are located though....

the green dots are located on the main body just under the collar thingy.

They're identical?? I thought the jaws versions were an improvement over the Honda ones, or is it the internals that are tweaked?

The jaws version is Hondas uprated version that was fitted to the Honda X11 if I remember correctly. It's the same but it's better.

I've heard that when changing the CCT the chain can skip a tooth when carrying out the procedure? How can you be sure this won't happen??

Never heard of this happening.

BUT

Don't move the engine till the new CCT is in place and ready to work.
