The other question I had is about the wheels. Why is there one at each end. My previous bike didn't have this. I've enclosed a pic of me on it.
:yo: skillful riding, Ive never progressed beyond two wheels

You could call them a bunch of :wank:ers, however you can't do that because they don't qualify. :-0)

Hi,

Hello everyone, I've just joined the forum and am looking forward to your advice and P1ss taking etc!!

I have just put a small deposit down on a 2000 (W) Blackbird with 22000 miles on the clock, but before I commit fully I was just wondering are there many things I need to be looking out for?

I have not had a chance to start the bike as yet but am aware of the loom issue (check for FI lamp to go out after starting), are there any other things I need to check?

The bike looks absolutely immaculate and very well looked after but comes with no service history, which scares me a little, however the previous owner apparently did his own servicing, (which is fair enough but how good a mechanic was he, and what proof do I have?).

I look forward to your opinions.

Many thanks QUOTE

Hi,

I must say I did enjoy a lot of the comments regarding my rather naive post.

This is genuinely the first bike I have had with a hydraulic clutch, the other were all cable operated and so I wasnt sure.

perhaps I should have done a little research before I asked the question, but I wasnt sure if it was something to do with the linked brakes.

I dont mind the pi55 taking at all, but I will certainly do my research in the future.

and also I havent replied simply because I dont spend much time at my computer, preferring in fact to be out and about having a life!!

To be fair, I was a tad confused when I got the Blade. Having been used to the clutch fluid reservoir on the left bar on the Birdies, I did worry about the lack of on the Blade. Still not sure about having a clutch cable on a big bike, but guessing Mr Honda knows what he's on about!!!

Glad you came back and proper good response :yo::yo:

This Jack?

For some time many of us have wondered who is Jack Shit? We found ourselves at a loss when someone says, You dont know Jack Shit? Well thanks to my efforts you can now respond in an intellectual way. Jack Shit is the lonly son of Awe Shit who married O Shit, the owners of Knee Deep N Shit Inc. In turn Jack Shit married Noe Shit. The couple had 6 children: Holie Shit, Giva Shit, Fulla Shit, Bull Shit, and the twins Deep Shit and Dip Shit. Dip Shit married Dumb Shit, a high school dropout. After 15 years, Jack and Noe Shit got devorced and she married Ted Sherlock and became Noe Shit Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Shit marrid Lota Shit an had a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Shit. Fulla Shit n Giva Shit married the Happens brothers n had a double wedding. The newspaper invited eveyone to the Shit-Happens wedding. Bull Shit traveled the world and returned home with and Italian bride, Pisa Shit. So from now on, no one can tell you that you don't know Jack Shit........

Looks like your going to fit right in 10/10 for your reply.

I also wonder why bike manufacturers swap between cable and hydraulic clutches.
The Thundercat and R1 are both cable whereas the Thunderace and FJR1300 are hydraulic.
