This might sound like a daft question to everyone on this forum, but I am just wondering why my Blackbird had two front brake fluid reservoirs and not one like a lot of other bikes, i.e. all my previous bikes?

It doesn't - the left hand one is the clutch fluid reservoir, ie the clutch is hydraulically operated rather than cable.

Whatever you do DONT think about doing any work or servicing on your bike.

And, to make life more complicated, the bird also has a rear brake fluid reservoir, to save confusion this is for the rear hydraulic brake. It is operated from the RH side foot pedal.. I have not included details of how the linked brake system works as too much information could be dangerous.

The big black thing under the tank that gets hot is the engine.

No the boiling water is in the radiator (and I thought you knew about bikes).
Lets make it simple.
Ride bike for 5 minutes.
T bag in mug.
Release hose from btm of radiator.
Fill mug.
Add milk and sugar to taste.

Note; Antifreeze is sweet to taste so you may not need so much sugar as normal.

Thanks mate, you are a leg end around these parts with your bike knowledge. The other question I had is about the wheels. Why is there one at each end. My previous bike didn't have this. I've enclosed a pic of me on it.

Come on lads, give him a break. It looks like you've scared him off as he's not been back with a reply.

And while you're all dispensing advice can someone tell me how to stop losing petrol from that big black container between the seat and handlebars. It costs a fortune to keep replacing it.

Can I just say beatts welcome to the bird nest M8 you are now a ledgend in my book, I have not laughed as hard in a long time a classic thread & you are getting trully flamed for it but don't be put off you have a long long long way to go to beat Lumpy.:yo::yo:

P.S. could I just ask what are the big bits of plastic for on my riding trousers? I have been told "for when you get the knee down" even with the side stand out & the bike leaning on it & as far as I would ever lean it over, my knee is never lower that 24 7/8" from the ground:dunno:
