Right guys I got some avon 45/46s bird specific on for the last 3000m still looking good with loads of tread left.
In the dry they're fooking awesome as much grip as I'll ever need I'm wearing out knee sliders more than rubber.
I had a set last year and thought the same but that in the wet weren't very good.I swore I'd never use them again.
However after reading threads over the last year with all the good reports on them and being given to understand that the silica content had been increased to improve wet weather grip I tried another set.
I've only been out a few times in the wet but have found them still crap today out with Stan der Marn we had a bit of rain we both had slides at very moderate lean angles.
Is it me or what am I expecting too much from a motorcycle tyre I don't think so as when I go out in the wet on my 1150gs fitted with a hybrid mich anakee trailey sort of road rubber I can go through bends with far more confidence and lean.
