So who fancies a weekend around Devon. The roads round Dartmoor are great for scrubbing off tyres, Plymouth is nearby and I can get us a very good rate at Dartmoors Plume of feathers Inn Princetown (no, not in the prison!). It has B+B, big bunkhouses and loads of camping and parking space. Good beer and food of course. Be brave - our sheep are warmer than in Wales! Would be able to organise any time in Sept or Oct. preference for Early to Mid september.
Feedback please and I can get started if theres enough interest
Passports only required if you want to enter Cornwall (or pay to exit Cornwall if you are from that foreign land!).

Ah, but Janners are such nice people - otherwise we wouldnt let the northern hordes in at all! I reckon second weekend in Sept would be good - and coincide with my birthday. Just 27 again...

I shall be home from 16-23 Feb and hoping to get to Taffys to see shiny new paint job etc so hope to call by - please email me as advertised on site if thats OK, I think i still have yr mobile. Foreigners (from North of the M4 always welcome - Midland Massif please note LOL :)

I am only an hour away from you so if i am free i would like to join you for the weekend.
If your around in Feb give me a shout as my mate wants a run down to the cafe on Telegraph Hill. Never been there myself but as long as the weather is ok we will give it a go.

All the best

Assuming I can organise to get the Bird out of Mr Taffys garage would be good to go to Telegraph hill -assuming the weather is not toooo bad. I am home between 17th and 23rd so the weekend in between might be good. Will post again beforehand. My mobile if it isnt on the site is 07906 675503.

OK, looks like Waterford Hills last race meeting is 17th-18th sept so i will be departing UK prob 14th or 15th so those dates for the south west bash will be ok. only prob for me is i have my six year old son on saturdays so what i will do is either come down sat night and stop over or get there early on the sunday morning and have a ride out.LOOKING FORWARD TO IT ALREADY.

Hello Moogly
You can come too only if you promise not to leave me in a cloud of dust when I turn off for the petrol station, like at the bash!! This is assuming I am not icebound at Taffs palce - in which case I will be in my Wuss mobile (Honda CRX).

OK FOLKS - lets go firm on this one then before I go back to sea in 3 weeks time - off to the Gulf this time but will be back for July and all the goodies going on. The dates for the Great Dartmoor Run will be Friday 9th - Sunday 11th September 2005. I will post more details and accommodation options when I get time but in the meantime please post your interest here or make a note of my e-mail address: mowey99@hotmail.com

I just noted that 6 of us have a birthday on Sept 11th - see if you can turn up and we can call it the Great South West 911 Run, or the Where Were You on 911 Run. Unless of course you can think of a better name....?

Bert, are these dates OK with you BIG Diary?

Remember, passports only required if entering or escaping from Cornwall!
