My mate has had one for about eight years.
He loves it, but doesn't get much to the tank ( @95 miles)
It still looks mint, but paintwork is looking a bit thin where his knees rub the tank sides.

Samster had one. A purple one.

he seemed to like it well enough. I rode on and found it top heavy and hard to turn but a good engine.

My friend had one, it was the bike I wanted this time, but no decent hard luggage available so went with the bird instead. I wanted the Black & Gold model. Highly desirable, next insurance pay-out will demand the purchase!

My first bike after passing my full test back in the day was a zzr1100 so I had looked at the zz1200. Given the money is more or less the same, I consider the bird a better bike and buy.

I had a derestricted one. Could never get it to top out, just kept accelerating. Brill. bike. Only went to the bird because the pillion seat was comfier for my beloved. (We had to help her off the seat as her legs would seize up on a long journey). only trouble l found, was the fuel consumption was awful because of the small tank, get to about 80miles and you start looking out for fuel stations, and it ran extremely hot especially in the summer, you didnt want to get caught in a tailback.. handled really well if you drop the forks 10mm and change the rear tyre to a 190 instead of the 200mm. Would def. get another if l got the chance. @tu*

The small tank is a worry as I intend to take some breaks in Europe on a regular basis
