Zumo Security Screw

No jokes about prison officers, coppers, etc., please !

If, like me, you find the security screw that locks the clip on top of the Zumo bike mount REALLY annoying, there is an alternative.

There is a guy in Holland who manufactures a replacement, which is a small thumbscrew. Job done, and no faffing around with the small and ridiculous security screwdriver Garmin supply.

This won't stop your Zumo being nicked (it's only designed to stop the unit opening accidentally), but at least it's easy to remove your Zumo when you pull up.

Took my original one out and lobbed it !
Then happened to spot someone on a GS forum was selling a couple of spares for ?2 a go so bought one of those .. But ran without the screw in for several weeks..

Reason and function of this replacement screw (in short)

* Not meant to keep it from being stolen
* Easier fixing and releasing, while maintaining the Zumo secure in the holder
* Prevents accidentally releases of the Zumo holder dropping it on the street.
