Zumo 550 map transfer help please.

I am looking at getting a newer Zumo,
so my old 550 will be going soon, now it has lifetime map updates, BUT!!! this is only for when the unit is registered with me!! can anyone suggest a way of continuing with the lifetime updates, thus saving the buyer ?shitloads!! now although I don't agree with robbing Garmin of profits, I'll be buggered if I can see why they should make even more money by charging again for something I have already bought for this sat nav!!
If anyone has a constructive suggestion I'd like to hear please so whoever buys the sat nav can benefit!!

this will happen in the near future, and I'd like to offer the lifetime maps with it IF POSSIBLE, but as stated not yet, and no asking price decided. :dunno:

If buying new Ian, all the latest ones come with free lifetime updates mate.. Not a problem.. so just leave it on, give the buyer your login details and when you register the new one do it to different details

Once the buyer is sorted out he can change the basic settings to what he wants anyway @tu*

Torrent might help.

Tyre to travel for free route planning using Google maps.

I think most Garmin maps are now life time..

I've no problem with my slant on the Zumo replacement chaps, and to be honest I've 4 other Garmin on my account, so not about to give my details to what may be a complete stranger to cock up!! even accidentally:dunno:

BTW it is NOT going to be the new Zumo's 350/340 as both are proving incompatible with too many blue-tooth head sets I've been looking at, as they send the pin 0000 and many head sets cant be changed from their default setting senna10r for instance may send out 1234, the Zumo's WONT recognise that and CANT be matched at this time, Garmin are aware of the problem but have not come up with a software fix and say in a few more words "tough"!! :dunno:

When I got my first Garmin, the previous owner transferred ownership to me on the garmin site.

The one I just got, was not registered to anyone, so I've done that on Garmin site.
The latest maps now uploaded and useable on mapsource.

Transfering on Garmin site should be possible.
