Time to treat my BIRD to a late Xmas pressie....A new set of FUEL cans!
Luise tells me that Bikers Oracle members get a 10% discount of the full MMRP however they also have a sale on with a 20% reduction!!

The question is which ones go best on a Titanium BIRD.
The plain polished stainless steel?

The black carbon look?
http://www.fuelexhausts.com/specs_pop_round.cfm?iSpecIDPK=12
The Titanium plain?

Or the gold Tianuium

I know that some of you have the FUEL cans and Ive seen some of the posts and Pics. Which one looks best on a Titanium Bird???:dunno:

If the titanium ones are an exact match for the 'Bird's paint scheme then I'd go with them. If they ain't then the polished stainless ones would be my choice.

stainless.. or second up titanium
CF looks great to start with but unless you keep on top of it always goes a bit drab to my mind

Don't touch it!!!! Everyone knows that the Titanium Bird is the pinnacle of desgn perfection. It is impossible to improve on it. Honda tried it by painting them blue, red, black and silver and they all look SHITE. :-0)

I like standard cans (even though I've got Micron stainless on my Bird):xm

But if you are going to change them I'd say stainless.

Talking of which
makes not a jot of difference what colour the cans are, still won't take your eyes away from the fact it's still in primer :-0)

Talking of which
now now don't be like that. bl4hbl4h At the end of the day, it in the eye of the beholder & what the pocket says as well. Me, I have a pair of Beowulf stubby's, not CF, but powder coated, & they sound awsome, as those that follow on other than red will tell you :-0)

Playground...

IMHO I'd fit the titanium colour end cans as a first choice, or stainless as the second choice.

I'd also buy a litre of RED paint... sorry.. the voices in my head again.

Don't think Fuels CF is actually CF anyway. Its an effect, some kind of tooling to the surface. I actually quite like it, and think it would look pretty good on the grey bikes especially.
Not sure how well it will last compared to plain stainless though.
I have a Titanium one that I used to have on my cb13, and am thinking of getting a second one so I can use it the bird. In theory they are the lightest and would make the biggest weight saving.
