Total respect.. Must be honest was not expecting him to perform like that..
Just shot up about 10 fold in my hero list !
and as one of my favorites also appeared ( the lanky yanky from Texas, the one and only Mr Edwards ) a bit of a bonus

Absolutely. What got to me wasn't that the guy hadn't been on a bike for a year but still "delivered the goods" - it was that this crusty racer/team manager is still so honestly and openly committed to his sport - one hundred per cent.

It showed how much it meant to him to be able to get on that bike and entertain a knowledgeable crowd; and it showed how well he deserves the praise that's come his way on the basis of his achievements.

For me it was, as they say, "emotional". :yo:
