Yamaha official paddock scooter supplier to FGSport
Valencia, Spain
21/4/2006

Yamaha Motor Italia has signed an agreement with FGSport that sees
Yamaha supply six paddock scooters to the 2006 Superbike World
Championship.
Claudio Consonni, Yamaha Motor Italia's racing manager, handed the keys
of the specially-liveried BW's scooters to FGSport CEO Paolo Flammini
ahead of this weekend's third round of the championship in Valencia,
Spain.

Being very easy to ride and stable with its fat tyres, the BW's makes a
perfect paddock scooter. Designer Aldo Drudi has created a special
design for the units, combining the FGSport logo and colours in a very
trendy way. Drudi also designed the livery of Yamaha Motor Italia's YZF-R1
racers.

Yamaha is Europe's leading powered two-wheeler brand. The BW's scooter
triggered a whole generation. The original BW's 50 (the name stands for
Big Wheels) has become a desired object for many youngsters all across
Europe. It gave a whole new meaning to scooters in the early Nineties
for the years to follow and is as popular as ever today.

Claudio Consonni - Yamaha Motor Italia Racing Manager
"Yamaha Motor Italia is very proud to strenghten our long standing
relationship with FGSport by supplying these scooters. Our relationship
with Mr. Flammini goes back a long way, even before the start of the
Superbike World Championship, when we worked together on projects such as
the Yamaha RD500 cup in the 1980s. I am sure that these BW's scooters
will provide a welcome presence in the paddock and a great benefit in
helping the FGSport staff do their jobs."

Paolo Flammini - FGSport CEO
"The relationship between ourselves and the manufacturers has always
been extremely productive, not only based on the pure activity of racing
but also with this type of cooperation. We need to use scooters in the
paddock and Yamaha can provide this service. I believe that this is an
interesting interpretation of the relationship between the manufacturer
and series organizer and a good example of how we can work together."
