Christmas markets are a gimmick to con people into buying stuff they don’t need & probably would never usually contemplate buying.

The only thing I ever buy at a Christmas market is gluwein.

Can't see any issue with that....

Joking aside, we spent a day in Bath in the summer, , somewhere I have always wanted to visit....what a disappointment. The highlight was the park behind Royal Crescent, lovely.
Yes I agree. I just fail to see what the attraction is. The place is currently full of overweight Americans and Japanese snipers with their 7.62mm Nikons.

I was born in Cambridge and recently went back for a visit. Bath can't hold a Christmas market candle to it.

Cambridge is lovely. Particularly enjoyed the punt round the back of the colleges. Beautiful.

In Bath Royal Cresceny looked like it needed a ruddy good refurbishment.

You remembered to let go of the pole when it stuck in the mud then!

I remember as a kid going and picking up abandoned punts on a Sunday morning and taking them back for some pocket money. Happy days.

Had my first Christmas meal of the year yesterday.

If you're in London and like Indian food then check out Dishoom. It's not a typical curry house. The food is just incredible! :hambre:

Simon Lewis came up with the perfect Christmas gift, explain to people that you are not buying them gifts & you don’t want any in return thereby relieving them of the burden.

By the way my work’s Christmas dinner was nice apart from the sprouts were mushy.
