As mentioned before I have been ill with covid type symptoms for a few weeks now (testing negative every time)

last night I was really rough and the mrs kept saying "phone the docs in the morning" I admit I blew my top at this as have been phoning every couple of days for 2 weeks and getting nowhere and told her "you phone the feckers and see how you get on"

It must have finally sunk in with the enemy as she did this morning before I got up.............. the result is I am not registered with my docs and have not been since 14 oct apparently ............................... now i have not attempted to change docs but someone has requested my records and they have released them without my consent, for me that is fraud

Awaiting a call from Hayley the practice manager but not holding my breath, she had told my mrs that i would have to re-register blah blah blah not happening its their mistake and they can sort it out, what bothers me most is that in all the times i have tried to get an appointment since 14 oct nobody has said you are not registered here or i could have sorted it out well before now

So who has my records and why, why were they released without my consent, why was i not told before now, and why am i expected to sort out their mistake?
I will be making an official complaint through the NHS, i wont do it through the gp's as they are obviously a useless cunch of bunts

If I were you mate, I'd be talking to your local Citizen's Advice and go from there. It could be a genuine mistake like another patient with the same name as you moving to a different gp and the idiot receptionist didn't notice the wrong address and date of birth. Then again, it could be staggering incompetence.

No excuse for them not to have noticed you're not registered, although it's 'only' six days.

Might be worth asking Tony T.C ; he knows his legal shit and if he can't help, he can point you in the right direction.

It’s fraud if someone is passing themself off as Slim, druggies have been known to do this, the way it works is they will root through your bin for any info they can get, utility bills, bank statements etc, they will then go to a GP & say they have just moved & register with them, now they have access to your meds.

When Mrs P would come home from a long flight, she would occasionally leave her uniform jacket with her name tag on it over the font seat of her car when it was on the drive. Any scrotes with malintent walking past then had a name and address. Considering Mrs P ain't dumb, it took me a worryingly long time to train her out of it.

Its fraud if someone is using my details to register as me at a different doctors, what else could they use my details for?

It breaks all the rules of patient confidentiality and data protection when my private records were released without my consent

If you make a complaint then make sure you get the results in writing/an email. If you're then unhappy with their explanation then escalate your complaint to NHS England and if still not happy, then take it to the Health Ombudsman.

In terms of your personal data, ask for confirmation in writing/email. That gives you evidence to also make a complaint to The Information Commissioner's Office

This is worth a look before you do:

I had a quick search earlier and it appears that you can either make a complaint through the gp's themselves or through the nhs site but not both

stil waiting on a call to see what excuse they have come up with for their cockup

Wait to hear what they say. If it stinks then complain via NHS England.

The local surgery the wife came out of retirement to work at through Covid received numerous complaints about the piss poor attitude of the GPs. The surgery "investigated" themselves.... and every one was a whitewash.

She got so sick of it that she resigned.

The registration thing is still "under investigation" but i got an appointment at 3pm yesterday with a nurse she went through the usual covid test (negative) blood pressure (ok ish) then had a listen to my chest with the result of "ooer you need to go get an x ray now" she typed me a note and off i trotted to A&E

5pm by the time i got the hospital as I took her advice and went to a smaller one a bit further away because there was half a chance of getting a result there and no chance locally
The first thing they do it a covid test and its positive ferfucksake , so I am trundled round to the covid ward, I must say the folks there while quite busy were pleasant informative and helpful, any questions i had they had time to answer (y)

The upshot of a million tests is I have pneumonia, covid and a possible blood clot  I escaped around midnight and am at home now with antibiotics but will have to go back tomorrow for injections etc for the blood clot

Been down the blood clot route before which is partly why I didn't want the covid jab, what surprised me is when one of the doctors asked about the jab and i mentioned this she looked around furtively and said good choice!

Before I retired I was on evening duty on B wing (not my usual wing) I was unlocking for tea when I found a prisoner sat on the floor struggling to breathe, I stayed with him for over an hour whilst the health care staff tended to him, an ambulance was then called.
The next night I was on his bedwatch, he was in a one bed room, as I entered I saw my collegues wearing masks & poly aprons, “he’s got pneumonia on one lung & flu on the other, a Nurse came in & asked “have you had the flu jab”? “No” “oh, you’ll need to wear a mask then or have a demi flu jab” “no thank you” said I, I then explained that I’d spent over an hour in close proximity with him so it was a bit late for any preventative measures.
