I honestly thought I’d heard and seen it all but it appears I haven’t.

You may recall that we adopted our pup from a local dog shelter back in January. She was used for breeding, developed problems, had to be neutered, surplus to requirements, adopted by some twats in Cardiff last May, they dumped her at dog shelter few days after Christmas.

I had a phone call from dog shelter today. The woman that dumped Gia has asked them to get hold of me to see if she can have her dog back. She was politely told that the dog has been re-homed and that she now legally belongs to the family that adopted her i.e. us (no names, no pack drill, obviously). Silly bollocks initially cited one of the reasons for giving the dog up as her daughter has health problems (polycystic kidney disease) . She told dog shelter on the phone this week that she’s given the daughter to her mother (kid’s grandmother) so she can now take the dog back. She was again politely told to sod off as Gia legally belongs to someone else. After much pissing and whining, lady at dog shelter lost her sense of humour and ended the call.

Lady at dog shelter then called me to give me a heads-up because silly bollocks told her she’d messaged me through Facebook asking for the dog back. WTF! How does she even know it’s me? I checked the spam folder in FB Messenger and, sure enough, there’s a raft of (barely coherent) messages asking for the dog back, she’ll pay with money being no object and a load of photographs. She also tried ringing me through messenger on Tuesday morning.

I did a bit of digging through her profile and I wouldn’t trust her with a dead match, never mind a living creature. I’ve blocked her and her fiancé and Mrs P has done the same. As much as I wanted to unload on her, common sense prevailed (for about the second time in my life) and I’ve ignored her as well as blocked her.

Some people………….

Some people don't deserve to be on this planet.... Prepared to give up a child ... WTF...and then have the neck to contact you about wanting your dog.

She clearly has no respect for anything. Things like this give me even more reason not to be on social media. I guess the worry for you is now that the knobbers might come looking for the dog...

You did absolutely the right thing, losing your rag with her would just put it in her mind that you are not suitable & could make her more resolute in her attempts to get the dog back.
As Nige says be careful, she may be able to find where you live & try to steal the dog back, maybe an idea to get a tracker on her collar.

Pow-low honestly mate you did the right thing by not responding mate, if you had let her know what you think she would have used that as an excuse to make out you are not the right person to have your dog, from the sounds of it these scum only want her to flog on or otherwise make money off

I would be asking the rehoming place how the feck the scum managed to id you and firing a round up them if it comes to light that they have released your details

I would also prepare for any attempt by them to take your dog, and be prepared to act accordingly, find out where they live then if anything untoward happens you or the police have a starting point, sadly criminal gangs are making a business out of stealing dogs and its scum like the previous owners that feed that sort of enterprise

As much as its tempting to go to the previous owner and deal out some "attitude adjustment" dont unless you really have to, if you get more messages let the police deal with it, harassment via the internet is still a crime, make them aware you are prepared to deal with it yourself if needs be, that usually makes them at least have a quiet word

It amazes me how dense folk like that are. Too feckin' stupid to realise what total scumbags they appear to the rest of us.

I was initially concerned she might come looking for the dog. I live in a small avenue with a lot of retired people; she and her partner would be spotted, of that I have no doubt. Plus the house is alarmed. Aside from that, if they try confronting me, well, good luck with that.

I'm really not sure what they want with the dog. They know she's neutered so she's no use to the average dog thief.

I have no qualms about the dog's home. They called me early doors the following morning to give me the heads up about this twat. In the event that my dog does go missing, they have their details so I know exactly where to go looking or send Dibble.

Looking at her messages, she's clearly thick as shit. However, she managed to find me via the dog's home's facebook page so she obviously has one or two brain cells. Both Mrs P and me have blocked her and her partner, so they can't see anything we post and she can't message either of us. I'll keep checking my spam box to see if she has one of her mates try and contact me.

I'll avoid going after her as long as humanly possible, mainly because it's a 'she' and I'd find myself in even deeper shit if I got caught. I'm not entirely sure how to go about finding out where she lives but s
he did make the mistake of giving me her phone number though.........
Bad enough she just gave up the dog, but now she has gave up on her daughter !!!
What sort of a low life scum bag is she !!!!!!!!!!
Looking at her pics on facebook, she's covered in tramp stamps so I can take a pretty good guess. Saying that, Mrs P reckons she's told the dog's home she's given her daughter to her mum just as a ploy to get the dog back. One of the reasons she cited when handing her in was her daughter's poor health.

She's micro-chipped and registered to me.
Speechless.......how could she...
Completely devoid of any moral fibre by the sounds of things.

I just remembered, I have a pretty good idea how to find them, if need be. She also sent me some photographs showing me how happy the dog was at her home.

How did she get your details in the first place...?

She must've gone onto the Dog's Home FB page and recognised the dog from a post on there. Whenever a dog is rehomed, they do a little bio with some pictures. No names, no pack drill but I've commented on the pictures and she's put two and two together. I'm quite surprised 'cos she's thick as shit. Her messages are hilarious in their illiteracy.

Don't forget, it takes zero braincells to use social media.

She does seem highly educated....for a Welsh lass
Bollocks, she's as thick as a Yorkshireman's wallet!
Err, does she have big tits? Asking for a concerned dog owner.
No idea, mate. I saw a couple of her profile pics and scared the shit out of myself. What little in the way of front teeth her fiancé has are brown. They're like a row of terraced houses in Barnsley.
