Well yes, me too, (rather be me, not you) but the general feeling out there is jealousy of people who have more.

No, I think that people are generally jealous of those that have more, even if they won't openly admit it, without thinking of the problems that the ones with more may have because of it. I'll stay as I am, thanks.

I may look at the guy with the big house and flash motors and think 'lucky bugger' occasionally, but then I see the alarm and the big fence and think about all the worry he goes through thinking some of it may get nicked, and he's probably right to worry as what he's got is nickable.

Me, I drive bangers (two and four-wheeled) that no-one's liable to nick and I'm probably happier than the guys with it all. :-:

maybe, but that should not change them into thinking that they are better than others and that what other people think /feel has no importance, so they can just dismiss them and brush them under the carpet.

Very true.

But I'd also agree with something said earlier, 'Old Money' people do tend to be much more pleasant than 'New Money' people. They seem, in general, to have been brought up with a sense of responsibility towards those less fortunate than themselves, even if they have no idea at all what it's like in the real world.

In my life, I have met billionaires, working class people, hookers, gamblers, priests, judges, cops, thiefs... and I came to the conclusion that some people are good rich or poor or socially accpetable or not, some people have weaknesses that make then arseholes, some of them were even born evil...
but give a man power (a uniform, money...) and the later variety will become even more bastards. It's not money that makes people arseholes - it just gives them more power to be arseholes.
