the more money people have, the more they become a complete and utter twat???? This is baised on my experience and maybe not be the norm. but to me it is.

The more they have the more they think they can just brush people aside/ignore/tread on/step over/etc etc.

Just because you have money it does not make you a better person than the real beggar/homeless person on the street.

what does money do to people or do they do it to themselves????

Why are people with money the most wasteful of natural resources????

We are all people, we are the same, treat others as you wish them to treat you for fuck sake.

Wonga is the great insulator from lifes realities M8 the more you have the more wallpaper (or cutains) you can afford to hide all the things you do not wish to see.
At the end of the day when the reaper comes a calling the rich will be in the same queue to hell as the poor.

I do actually know a millionaire couple. His brother was kidnapped, they paid the ransom but he was killed anyway. They have a lovely estate near Leominster in Herefordshire (amongst others) but she refers to it as their 49 acre prison. They have ex-SAS guys to look after them and are so security minded, it's enough to drive you insane. I think I'd rather be poor, like me.

Money doesn't buy happiness, it just makes being miserable more comfortable and brings its own set of problems. I think maybe those problems could be part of the cause of monied people generally being more arseholes than real people :dunno:

On the other hand my oldest daughter is living with a millionaires son, and his father is one of the nicest most down to earth people you could ever wish to meet, when my daughter and her chap first moved into their house Richard (the dad) had been to scarborough on his BMW, came back at 10 o clock am, and was knelt down laying floor tiles in the bathroom still wearing his heine geiricks (can't remember if thats how you spell em but it don't look right)

I knew a woman who, although she had always been reasonably solvent wasn't 'rich'. She then managed to convert some fairly worthless shares (that she had been fobbed off with in her divorce settlement) into ?500,000 cash money - by pure circumstantial good luck. She was still the same lovely person afterwards but it turned her man (not the ex-husband, the bloke she had lived with for years) from (IMHO) just your average ordinary insufferable hoorah Henry into a completely insufferable TWAT. He was also (throughout) one of the genuinely meanest people I have ever met.

I have to say, both my and Pete's experience over the years is that (British) 'old' money'd people are usually extremely nice - and caring - people whereas 'new' money people very often aren't. But that's probably as much a generalisation as saying any group of people you might name are either 'good' or 'bad'.

I know sometimes I can be a generous, good mate and at others I'm a completely self-centred, miserable cow - so why should I expect anyone else, be they rich, poor or anything in between - be any different really?

These days I just expect everybody to be nice until they prove me wrong. I have got to the stage where I just don't let the arseholes bother me; if they do I generally walk away, why waste MY effort by letting them wind me up?

Life's too bloody short, you never know what's round the corner, so don't let them bother you. Just do your own thing in your own way and

NIHIL CARBORUNDUM ILLEGITIMI

(That's prolly wrong but someone will put me right I'm sure!)

w;;v Hey, how much does a bbird cost over there????
Think I'm moving to England :yo: :yo: maybe I could turn my 98 into a 2004 :lick:
In truth I'm also concerned about the importance that the whole world gives to money an the "market" in our days. There's people who belive it can self regulate the society
So I'm glad to be among the ones who find the real pleasure on the simple things of life like a good ride on such a bike as an XX

Some of the nicest people I have ever met were the old Romany gypsies, they used to come to the farms during harvest time picking apples/hops etc. They are not the Pikies of today, these people were genuine/honest/loyal, I sat around their camp fires of an evening with sharing food and listening to the stories they told, many a time, they taught me how to make whistles from twigs, in fact I learnt an awful lot about the countryside from these simple people, they were the only true people I think I can say I have ever met, deep respect to them. And no they were not rich.

I think rich people is a matter of perspective, people who haven't the money to buy a car and travel using public transport, may well gaze out of the bus window to see somebody coming out of their 4 bed detached, walking past their Scoobie/evo8/new focus/2 year old 4X or whatever and clambering onto a fairly recent Bird/VFR shiny bike and think "arseholes with money make me sick, wasting it on transport they dont need and lording it about in their 4X4",why cant they get the bus with us ordinary people?". likewise the person who cant afford the bus fare may well be looking up at the bus and thinking "arseholes with money make me sick, lording it on the bus, why cant they walk like the rest of us ordinary people?".
Personaly I have the 4 bed, the 2 year old 4X and the shiny Bird, I see people lording about in their flash Mercs/X5/rollers and think "arseholes with money make me sick, lording it about in their ?50k + cars, why cant they drive sensible cars like the rest of us ordinary people?" see, a matter of perspective.
