Full face every time even offroad/green laning.

Lazer for offroad and on road,

I love my Shoei XR1000.(Rutter Rep)

Had 5 Shoeis over the years along with boeri, Cromwell and KBC.

If I were ever to have a cruiser/Harley though I would have to wear a piss pot.

Style over safety every time !

Full face every time. Got a Shoei Z1 'Troy Lee' and Matt Black XR-1000 to go with the Mattbird. Both have good points and no bad ones. XR-1000 is lighter though.

I used to ride with an open face Everoak GP cos that was the best available at the time (1960's). One of the problems with it is that when it rained you had to really slow down because it was like having pins stuck in yer chops. Now I use a Shoei or Suomy full face. One of the big drawbacks with FF is that i miss the short peak I had on the open helmet, it was a god send when riding directly into the sun.

99% of the time full face - shoei xr-1000 in blue. if i'm just pooping out to sisters (5mins all 30mph), or petrol station etc, and it's warm, then i might wear my roof flip front if i feel like it.

I've just bought a Caberg Justissimo flip. Great fit, very comfortable, excellent for teaching and I still smoke. The drop-down sun visor is excellent too.

I've just had two days down in Worle with a friend, and although I would usually don my Shoei for anything other than staying local, I wore the Caberg as it's far cooler in the heat. Never again!! It's great up to 60-70mph, but anything over that and it gets very noisy!

Skid Lids...........

I was fortunate enuff to go to Japan on bizznezz........

I picked up the latest Shoei X-Eleven skid lid......... hot off the production line. Nice paint job done by the factory.......

It cost me 257 Quid. What would they cost in the UK (just as a matter of interest)??

Full face always for me, tried riding with a flip front, felt odd, like driving the car with no seat belt on. My current helmet is a X-lite X901, very comfortable and with good vents. Its over 2 years old and is still the same snug fit now as it was when new.
