Should be a Shuberth S1 with flip-down dark visor in your case love, to hide those sparkling eyes as well, oncoming drivers could be blinded!

When you see a bait, don't be so greedy and bite straight away and swallow! Play with it, toy around, chew a little, have fun with it!

Which Lid?

For me it's been more like how many - type is easy, always full face.

Problem has been getting one to fit which stays a good fit.

When I started riding again last Aug I went out and got an AGV Kinetic (Medium) which seemed a good and comfortable fit. OK for around 2 mths but then found it was actually too big and as my speed increased the lid became increasingly worse.

So as I like the lid went back and got one in small - that was fine but I started to feel it was a little noisy.

Then saw the old type Shoei raid being discounted and as I'd been a fan of Shoei in the past tried 'em on. Very plush, much better fit around the neck etc.

Bearing in mind my AGV experience I went for small - very snug but seemd OK and much quieter. All was OK until I did a long run one day - almost 400 miles down south and back. Came back with one hell of a headache. Stuck with it for a bit longer thinking it would settle but the headaches on long runs remained.

Finally went and got a Shoei Z-one in medium. Good fit, comfortable and no problems with it. I'm finally happy.

But it's cost me almost ?600 in helmets to end up where I am now!!!!

In all cases the supplying shops helped with sizing/fit and in all cases when I went back pointed to signs and said "no helmet exchanges".

Anyone want some s/hand lids.........

Expensive way to learn.

:B :}

Full face..........

really don't like the idea of flip up, especially after Clives accident :B

So full face Shoei XR900, but want to change to Arai next time around as my head has changed shape!!! :dunno: :}

Two lids

For the track & trips abroad, etc I use an Shoei XR1000 (lighter and quieter than yours Mac :neenaw: ) - pinlock system never fails. And just got an Arai Tour X with a dark visor for street stuff. Remove the peak and it looks dark and moody :}

Pierre, can we have a debate on gloves next :f :}

:yo: I have a choice of helmets that i have bought over the years but my favourites are Shark rsr, OGK Aeroblade (bit noisy at speed), Arai Astro j parkes rep (top quality lid and very quiet), Bandit XXR airbrushed as the clown from the film IT with skulls airbrushed in the rear.c7u8 Got be said the arai is the most comfortable and i always wear it on a long ride.
