Went to the show today - ( a tad quiet wasn't it ? )

Looked at some carbon cans for my black 2005 model. Saw Lasers, Scorpion, Micron, Carbon Can and Fuel. ( most expensive first . . ) oh and BlueFlame too.

I know jack about aftermarket cans, aside from what I learned today. All looked good and if its on price, the Fuel lot are cheapest. But - are the others 'better' and if so what makes them better ?

I want to get something a bit louder ( after my low speed off when the woman pedestrian didnt see - cos she didnt look - or HEAR me !) and also lower the weight of the bike.

Any advice ?

spoke to damien of fuel and i quite fancied their new 3DFX(if thats what they're called)and only just over ?300 for a pair.got scorpions myself which are pretty good, nice sound etc.if i had the lolly i'd probably go for blue flames..coloured titanium twin ports..very nice, but to be honest i think it's down to personal choice.

BTW..jaws does the fuel one's i believe.

Don't suppose anyone could post some piccys of a bike with carbon cans fitted ? ( a black one would be good ! )

Is it true carbon cans will deteriorate after a while - I do 20k miles a year and dont want them falling to bits on me . . .

Got quill T3's on mine, good quality and sound nice above 4500 revs, just what I've been told by the "officer" following me on a bikesafe rideout. They are road legal. :lick: Have a look at www.jbracing.co.uk for details.

Thanks for those . .

Think I'm going to go with Fuel - the saving over Micron or Scorpion will pay for some high level link pipes if they the firm supplys Jaws at any stage . . .

Many swear by the Akrapovic, Me it's Blueflame 4 into 1 full titanium with dual port and removable baffles - with the baffles in it's nice sound and road legal, without it's simply orgasmic. And with the 4 into 1 you gain quite few pounds (15 or 20!!!) Price is ?260 for the titanium silencer, plus the down pipes - sold by Pete at blackbirdspares.co.uk. Very tasty indeed!
