Bloody Tattoo's? and "Body Piercing"?

Pain...............money................risk of infection and for what?

Someone please explain why?

And don't give me all that "personalisation of identity" crap

Are Tattoo "enthusiasts" just hiding their own insecurities?

Just wondered!

Head down...............tin hat time

why do you ride a blackbird???

why is that picture on your wall???

why is your haircut like that???

why do you well that shirt/ring/pants

because you want to!!!

I had a disagreement with my dad on monday night about tattoos and piercings, according to him i am a PRAT. According to me that is his opinion and he is entitled to it but i believe that he is a saddo for judging people by their looks and not want counts.

what pain bert??? had 3 tattoos now none of them hurt, got 5 piercings again none of them hurt either(did think i was gonna bleed to death when my tit was done)

Money?? ?8 for the first(18 years ago) ?30 for the second ?60 for the last, 4 piercings for ?15(20years ago), tit one was ?25

Infection??? none am i lucky then?? how many people get infected nowadays not many i think and the ones that do i would of thought in the case of most of them it was their thought for not looking after it right.

The women love them, blokes ask about them, they break the ice, get you accepted in places that you would be otherwise, the tattooist is an artist that paints on skin not canvas.

By the way i am 36years old and my old man is STILL trying to tell me what to do, makes me laugh   :k :k

Also if i die horribly i can be identified easier thus saving my family pain and time waiting to know if it is me or not.

Where me and Derek Kelly work if someone sticks a piece of metal in their body then that is considered self-harm and they are put on a "special watch" and observed 24 hours a day, and seen by a doctor and specialist staff every few days to make sure they are OK.

It is generally considered as mental illness and treated with medication.

If you're not passing the time in one of Her Majesty's Holiday Centres then it is a matter of personal choice and all you're marbles are present.

I had mine done only 3 years ago, not many people know i have it as its not visible day to day..
If i could turn the clock back i would.

I would have had the blue bits a touch brighter.

No Mate....I don't think so. I've never felt 'insecure' but it comes down to other peoples perception of me, I suppose.

My tattoo's are personal to ME. I've never picked a design from a tattoo studio wall, never copied another persons tattoo, each one is MY design that reflected an event in my life that was special or important to ME.

Whether it was a Club tattoo that said "I feel strongly enough about this to carry their emblem for the rest of my life".....a girls name that said "I love her and want to show it with her mark on my arm, forever"......or waiting 24 years between losing my Dad and my Mum (Dad-1979...Mum-2003) before having them joined in two intertwined hearts to signify that they're back together.

But most of all......why do I have tattoo's ????? Because I can.

P.S. Got me ear pierced, as well !!!!!! :}

from a female point of view,

I think tattoos done well, good quality, colour are pretty amazing. I have often thought about having one done myself, just don't know what I would have done though...........thats what stops me. As Supa said, it should be something personal and with meaning to you, so I would not want to go through it all for something that in a few years time I would have no feelings about.

I don't like piercings too much, found my ears sore enough! Took me until I was in my thirtys to have them done!!!!

I think each to their own, its your body after all.

If you don't get it,

then you don't get it.
If you need it explaining then you'll never get it.
Those who get it though, know it.
Those that know it .....well we know it and we're not telling, so there :p
