Hi Guys & Gals(?),

Quick introduction, my name's Clive and I'm involved with both Bikers Oracle and the VFR club. I'm going to be arrange tours and trips for all the bike clubs within Bikers Oracle, so I need to know what, if any, types of trips you lot would be interested in.

I'm thinking specifically about things like a weeks tour down to the Austrian Alps for the various mountain roads and passes, but here's a list of what I have in mind. If these float your boat can you tell me so, if not or you have other suggestions please let me know these as well, and hopefully I can get something together that will interest you at a good price.

9 day tour to Austria for the Alps & passes (2 nights travelling to & from and 4 nights in the Austrian resort)

9 day tour to the South of France, travelling the famous Route Napolean, and the Route Des Gorges. (2 nights travelling to & from and 4 nights in French resort)

4 day tour to Rhine/Mosel area of Germany (probably Rudesheim am Rhein)

9 day tour doing the Pyrenees, starting with the ferry crossing from Portsmouth to Bilbao (36 hours) and riding up through the West Coast of France.

5 day tour to Normandy & Brittany

A long weekend (4 days) to any of the European race events.

All the above would be using suitable quality hotel accommodation and would include breakfast at least and possibly some evening meals. The journies down and back, & the rideouts whilst there can be either at your own pace or with our own riders using the tried and tested drop off system at a medium to fast (ish) pace. You choose whether you want to stick with the group or not. I'll try and get some prices together over the next couple of weeks, to include channel crossings (probably using Eurotunnel for most of them) and post them here when I can.

I hope I'm not stepping on anyone's toes here, but if anyone's already doing something similar on the board then I apologise in advance and I'll gladly step back. I did have a look to see but couldn't find anything obvious.

For now, please let me know if you'd be interested in any, and which ones.

Thanks for your time.

Yes you are welcome to accompany us on simular trips as you suggested, we've one trip planned to France in July (10 days) & one to Barclona in september (3 wks) + one possibly to Moroco late in the year.
You wouldn't belive it but some low life's try and charge you to follow them on simular trips.
Thinking you carnt ride a bike abroad :xm what next, commision on hotels ?

Ok, I guess you're happy to arrange your own stuff then. As I said, I've no intention of stepping on anyone's toes here if you have people already that do this.

My aim is to take the hassle out of arranging tours for people, not charge them for following me! Plus, I should be able to get deals on hotels that you won't as I have very good contact within the travel industry.

Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know, cheers.

Muppet, best of luck mate with your venture, hope all goes well and it takes off. IMHO, don't think there's owt wrong with Motorcycle Tour companys, only they seem to think they can get away with (no pun intended) charging extortinate prices, for using your own transport and fuel :dunno:

I'll be leaving on the 23rd, this coming Wed, for a trip down to Normandy, on to Paris then up thro Germany on the Castle road to Prague and hopefuly they wont keep us locked up in Colditz on the way home :}

So if anyone is over there and see's a mad biker jumping up and down on a GPS at the side of the road....'GET THE FOOK OUT OF THERE'.....I'll have totaly lost it  (pun intended)

To Silverone.

Hi Silverone.
Did you ever sort the Moroco trip out....The reason I ask was I live in Malaga Spain and if you wanted B/B I could help or just meet up with you just to say hello really... on the way through.
Paul.

Hi there, Clive you know that Derek and I have already booked with you for the Austrian one next year. For us, yes, we are definately more than interested. We do enjoy going with new groups and meeting new people.

I personally think that this united thing with the Bikers Oracle is brilliant, and the tours that you are offering are very competitively priced. Derek and I have toured through europe extensively so we know how much things cost.

Thumbs up from us, if you don't advertise directly on this board, I shall definately come looking for you on the bikers oracle site.
