At work...
Currently building a 10x8 ft shed.
Done most of the work myself.
Roof needs another set of hands
so my line manager orders the newbie
to drop what he's doing and give me a hand with said roof.
4 x sterling boards to fit, he's on the inside
i'm on the outside, last board to fit.
All going well, he's holding the board steady,
I grab some screws from my
pouch, impact driver in the other hand.
Just as I look up the sterling board slides down the truss and promptly slaps me in the nose.....Bugger! Pissing blood, I whizzed the impact driver down and grabbed my feckin nose then shouted
a few profanities at said numpty.
No heads up, call out....feck all...Tw@t!
This was just after lunch around 2pm.
Told my line manager....That's it! I cant
work with this bell end anymore.
He's inept, dangerous, doesn't listen
and a feckin welder ffs!
After gathering my composure and when
the nose stopped bleeding, I thought....
right you tw@t, you get on the apex and
wack some screws in. Up he goes whilst
I watch from a safe distance...
He put two screws in whilst lying on his side? dropped the impact driver of which
he can't feckin use and slid down the roof
and landed in the garden!?? WTF!
Update....He has been sacked....Hooray!
Why? A few niggly things that he was warned about on his last three supervision interview.
The main reason, smelling of alcohol.
I have mentioned it twice before and two
individual contractors also twice before.
Nothing was getting sorted until he went
in the main kitchen and the manager reported him to my line manager.
That pissed me off as it's like no-one
was taking my concerns seriously.
It has taken another departmental
manager's complaint to finally let
the axe fall.....Not happy as it should have
been done on the first reported incident.
NB...He was breathaliysed on Monday
at work and was three times over the limit.
