Try this (if you didn’t already) chop some chunks of chorizo & fry them using a small amount of oil, then add your floured stewing steak (when the oil turns chorizo coloured) the chorizo infuses the steak & tastes amazing.
Yup, that’s pretty much what I do with the chicken, lob the chorizo into a hot pan, plenty enough oil comes out to cook the chicken in.

I golf.m windy when we started, by the 11th the sea mist had rolled in and we couldn’t see a thing so we took a long walk back to the clubhouse. Amazing how you can get soaked through when it’s not even raining…even my pants were drenched.

Went to the cinema with two friends to watch Return of the railway children

We got there early, sat in our seats, a woman with two children said we were in their seats, but never mind they would sit next to us. She sat looking at her phone whilst she and young uns ate popcorn, the film started, she looked up said what film is it we told her, and they were in the wrong studio So off they went leaving a mess behind.

Drove to Rugby to buy a quite rare Japanese SAR junior air rifle that i had seen weeks ago but didn't buy at the time :nusenuse:
Rugby is an awful place to get into from the A5 side and I was properly stressed by the time I got there so to soothe my tortured mind and brace myself for getting out of the bloody place I bought 4 more rifles and some bits :D

Within the hour of getting home mates came around and bought 2 of the rifles I had just unloaded from the car which paid for the trip (y) they also bought one other that has been for sale for a while which gave me a small profit

This afternoon I repaired the one remaining rifle at no cost as I had the bits already and put it straight up for sale, all of which means the original rifle I went for will eventually become free and I will have another small profit

Good day in the end and i still have bits to sort and either use or sell

This evening I got a call from the seller of all this stuff, he is selling most of his collection as he is moving/downsizing and no longer has space ... apparently there are some more I can buy if I want at some point soon, he would rather sell to me that mess about with dealers as in his words i am "straightforward and don't try to take the mickey" ... hoping there is some higher end stuff in need of work among the hundreds he has!

Been playing touch rugby tonight.

Afterwards was given a really good recipe for courgettes.
Apparently the best way to cook is in coconut oil.

Makes it easy to clean off the pan into the bin :)

Best way to cook courgettes, slice lengthways down the middle, scrape out the middle pulp & stuff with sausage meat & onions, wrap in tin foil then bake in oven, same method with marrows

Yet another trip to bloody rotten Rugby :(

Worth it though as todays haul included a nice used but working and ready for sale BSA lightning, a brand new but sun damaged Stoeger x20, a brand new but sun damaged SMK TH208, a brand new hardwood Brocock stock (model to be determined) a good working Relum Tornado action, 3 scopes, a couple of pistols 3 more working actions (to be identified) an SMK Syntarg (working but cheap shite) and a pile of either canvas or leather or leather and canvas rifle and shotgun bags (not even sure how many yet)

Some of this stuff is worth pennies but most of it has some decent value so well worth the hassle, stress and fuel to go to b**tard Rugby (y)(y)

Wondered if we should ignore the forthcoming hosepipe ban and incur a £1000 fine as that is probably going to be a lot less than the cost of replacing the plants we may well lose if the drought down here continues as predicted until the end of September.
