At work...
Currently building a 10x8 ft shed.
Done most of the work myself.
Roof needs another set of hands
so my line manager orders the newbie
to drop what he's doing and give me a hand with said roof.
4 x sterling boards to fit, he's on the inside
i'm on the outside, last board to fit.
All going well, he's holding the board steady,
I grab some screws from my
pouch, impact driver in the other hand.
Just as I look up the sterling board slides down the truss and promptly slaps me in the nose.....Bugger! Pissing blood, I whizzed the impact driver down and grabbed my feckin nose then shouted
a few profanities at said numpty.
No heads up, call out....feck all...Tw@t!
This was just after lunch around 2pm.
Told my line manager....That's it! I cant
work with this bell end anymore.
He's inept, dangerous, doesn't listen
and a feckin welder ffs!
After gathering my composure and when
the nose stopped bleeding, I thought....
right you tw@t, you get on the apex and
wack some screws in. Up he goes whilst
I watch from a safe distance...
He put two screws in whilst lying on his side? dropped the impact driver of which
he can't feckin use and slid down the roof
and landed in the garden!?? WTF!
You may have a good claim, was the job risk assessed? was numpty’s skill level adequate for the job? Had the employer taken adequate steps to ensure safety?

I assessed the risk.
Numpty has 0 skills.
He was interviewed for the job via
a phone call via my RFM, both are as
much use as tits on a fish.
My line manager hates him.
Hospital manager can't sack him, even
though he his still on probation and the
personal dept have allegedly said that
they will not get rid for fear of being sued
if the allegations are not evidential.
I give up.

Go sick, visit your Doctor/Hospital as you are suffering from dizzy spells, see your Union rep & get them to issue a writ against your employer.

Actually.....
I'm sat in my car at the local hospital and
killing time for my 15.30 appointment with the quack at the urgent care ward.
Well see if my nose is bust with hopefully
a visit to x-ray.
Then I can report the facts at work for
numpties negligence and inept bollox.
Already logged the injuries at work, so
more facts to stack up against him.

Put new seals n pistons in back caliper of BMW. The pads were toasted after the master cylinder seized so I decided to refurb. Well they are there since 1994.
They looked fine though.

There's an NHS band 6 Physio in the department where my missus works who is 3 months into her probation period and who everyone agrees is operating at least 2 bands above her capabilities and is an accident waiting to happen.

Unfortunately they can't do anything about it at the moment because they recruited her from Nigeria on the basis that a band 6 Physio there was a straight match for the band 6 role here.
Consequently they didn't bother to write up her required competencies for the job, which means that until they do they've got nothing to use to determine her level of competency and so can't redeploy her in a role that better suits her and is safer for patients... . nor can they discipline or sack her.

step 1
Get him back on the roof under some pretense
step 2
Carefully assess where he is
step3
Sneak into said shed while he is otherwise engaged
step 4
Drive a 3" screw straight through the roof into his nuts

Problem solved!
And dont forget I am always around if you need further employment advise (y)

Today it was shooting in the morning, just zeroing the Webley stingray and chatting to the lads but i managed to come away with 2 new to me vintage guns, not quite sure how that happened but am pleased anyway

This afternoon I finally sorted that (b***tard) hw77, bloody thing had the wrong guide in it! seems to shoot well now so will zero it in the morning and the owner can have it back (and good riddance too)

After that i stripped both "new" guns and stuck most of one in the cleaning fluid to remove the majority of the rust, that should be good to rebuild in a few days in the meantime i can sort the stock (just a sympathetic restoration) .... the other is stripped and cleaned ready for a polish and a rebuild with new piston head and washer, not decided what to do with the stock yet as still looking for a colour match for the original varnish

Shot the Hw77, zeroed and shooting well (y)

Picked up a mates son in laws BSA Cadet to do a bit of restoration on while I was there, the thing wouldn't cock and was jamming solid at half way though the cocking stroke, looks like some numpty had squeezed the compression tube in a vice, so it took some getting to bits, going to take a while to remove all the burrs from the tube, piston and cocking arm but it moves reasonably now (y) Not sure how chuffed he will be when i tell him it needs 45 quids worth of bits to operate properly and look right though

woken up in the knowledge that for reasons beyond her Mrs B has forgotten to do the grocery delivery order this week despite being reminded so a Massive supermarket trip to get stuff in for three households is happening this morning.

That’ll be me not playing golf then.

On the positive side we have a very serious family issue at the moment and that for the first time took a turn for the better last night, more important than anything else.

Also on the positive side the insurance company have agreed a cash settlement and I have someone booked in to replace our ceilings. its a start…..we could have done this three months ago…….

But nail guns just fire them straight in, far too quick and easy
With a screw you can vary the speed and back it out for another go just to make sure he gets the message (y)
Industrial stapler. That's gonna hurt and it'll take ages to cover him in staples.
If he's still breathing at the end then just lob him in the sea.
