I am still trying to figure out why the mad bonkers things at the very top of the range of bmw, Audi, Jaguar, etc. are all petrol rather than diesel.

Maybe they have all got it wrong……
Of course they haven't got it wrong ....... of course they know the mighty diesel is better all round but they will keep producing their inferior products as long as the misguided will keep buying them :p

Don’t miss work one bit when reminded of that stuff.

I worked in an environment in the early nineties where the rooms for internal meetings only had tall backless stools and tables and internal meetings were limited to twenty minutes maximum.

it had some drawbacks at times but on the whole it worked well.

I always made meetings more interesting by doing the loudest fart & then casting an accusatory look at the nearest Ginger.

At least I've done this from home instead of working a day shift :)

watched it tipping down with rain.

Biblical proportions.

Told my wife’s sister in law to go and sit in her car if she couldn’t be civil or say anything useful.:sisi1
Is this the nasty witch type burd you’ve mentioned before?

I,remember being pleased when I took, five years fixed at 10.49%.

i can also just about remember having a mortgage…

:couch:
My first mortgage back in ‘92 was over 10%.

I‘m by no means clued up financially (apart from the obvious and the basics) but I can see interest rates heading north in the not too distant.

We’re presently on 1.74% so 0.94% for five years is a no-brainer; same provider (Nationwide) too, so took me all of five minutes to take up the new deal online. No faff, no carpet-bombing with stupid questions. I’m hoping we can clear it by the time five years is up.
