And a good one. Unusual for armoured cable to play up even though we have had a fair bit of rain. It's not clear from your post what is tripping. Is it the MCB in the main box that feeds the garage or is it an RCD (the one with the push button on it to test)?

I was told by a sparky that you shouldn't have 2 RCD's on the same circuit as they can mess with one another, my shed is wired into the house on a separate RCD in the main fuse box & that is it that never trips

Ps it was fully tested & signed off by a different sparky so presume its up to current spec

Decided to save sorting the sock drawer until tomorrow.

Went for a walk including going past the plot I have just bought. The cogs are turning.....

Put a screwfix order in for a few bits and pieces.

So what is the plan with the plot ?
Or are you still considering options ?

The plan is to build a ‘forever home’ for ourselves and that is probably still where we will go

However, once we have demolished and cleared the site we might see if it is worth selling it on...leaving us back in the position of looking for a building plot:BangHead:

Bathed my smelly dog. I know they’re supposed to smell like dogs but this was beginning to get overpowering. She didn’t have a wash at the shelter and I don’t think her last owners gave much of a shit about her.
She seems even happier now.

most dogs enjoy being rubbed down with a towel after being wet. Miss Molly waits to be dried off even though she’ll go out with a coat on, it makes no difference at all she wants to be towelled off.

She did enjoy the towel, as she does when getting a rub down when we come in from the rain. On,y thing she’s not keen on is me picking her back feet up to dry between her pads and toes.

It's the main MCB in the house that's tripping, but just the circuit that feeds the garage.

At ourlast but one property we had a problem of the garage power tripping the household electrics, itwas after a particularly heavy bout of rain, it never worked again so I rigged up an overground cable.

That's unusual. MCB's protect against over current situations. If everything is switched off in the garage then there is a fault from live to neutral or live to earth between the main consumer unit and the garage unit. If you are reasonably competent you could disconnect the live from the MCB in the house and see if you can reset the MCB. If you can't then it is probably faulty and an easy fix.

Failing that you will need an electrician. There is a good one on here if you live anywhere near France.

Take a pic of your board in the house and a pic of whatever you have in the garage.
Then draw on the pic so we can see just exactly what is tripping.
