Bev & I went to Aldi, I had loaded the conveyor belt when Bev went ballistic, the guy behind had reached over me to pick up a divider, Bev really tore into him, reminding him of two metre rule, never mess with a woman recovering from covid.
Absolutely shocking!!!!

Going to Aldi, that is :)

Whilst the pretentious think like this it keeps things cheaper for us realists
A (gay) friend of Mrs P is up to his eyes in debt yet he insists on shopping in Waitrose. Typical example of his stupidity - his choice of wine is £8 a bottle in Waitrose yet the exact same one is £4 in Aldi (and I mean exact same, not a wine from the same grape in a re-branded bottle with an 'Aldi' label on it). He's more interested in the image that shopping in Waitrose apparently portrays. Pretentious twat.

We buy the vast majority of ours in Aldi with the exception of my milk and yoghurt, which I can only buy in Tesco and my chilli sauce, which is either in Mozzers or a deli in the city. Oh, and meat; I drive over to our favourite butcher in Maidstone every other month and spend a couple of hundred quid or so there and fill the freezer. I refuse to eat supermarket meat.

Put the hedgehog wheels on the golf trolley.

Eyed up where the incoming telephone cable runs before moving it - lazy git of an engineer ran a brown cable all over the front of the house rather than going through the attic, laziest,, shoddiest job I have seen for a long time.

Thought about getting the Xmas decorations down. Nah.

Settled down for an afternoon fest of golf, football and F1 while marvelling at how wet and miserable it is outside.
Don't you mean 'URCHIN' wheels on your golf trolley!:risas3: (See todays quiz)

Weekends are like bank holidays, they don't mean anything when you work in retail

Got up late, went down the shoot & shot very well, in fact it was possibly the best string of consecutive shots in my life

It probably wont mean a lot to most of you but I am going to tell the tale anyway ......

Seated & resting on a bag I took 3 sighting shots to check the zero (30yds) with the scope on 9x magnification, that was one hole not much bigger than a single pellet :)

So getting ambitious I thought lets try the bells, first up is one at 30yds ..... ping ! thats a .22 (5.5mm) pellet through a 6 mm hole to ring the bell , second shot the same satisfying ping again

Followed by ping, 40yrd bell (8mm hole) & ping 50yard bell (10mm hole)

And now I am getting out to the sensible max range of a sub 12lb .22 air rifle & still hit 2 golf balls at 60 yards before finally missing a small tin I can usually hit 8 times out of ten at just over 70yds

So that's six consecutive shots at ever increasing range in a couple of minutes still on x9 mag, every one of which was bang on before missing one by the narrowest of margins to say i'm happy with that is an understatement :jump:

Put a couple more through it just for fun banging spinners at 40, 50 & 60 yards then decided i wasnt going to do better than my first few shots so came home for a nap :)

Found out my new found skills in fine soldering weren’t.
The dive computer I restored was blank and on moving about intermittently showed an err message so stripped it again and the battery had come loose from the pcb on one end, resoldered, rebooted it and reassembled again, will try it tomorrow . Sigh!

Finally summoned enthusiasm to get a few Xmas decorations down from the loft. Some new disco lights for out the front, a couple of polystyrene penguins in the lounge that's it for the year. Not got anyone coming in so not even bothering with a tree.

that aint fine soldering that is almost girder welding !!
Try soldering a 360nM ( roughly twice as thick as a human hair ) wire across two points on a dash assembly with shaky old fart hands !
THAT is fine soldering !

Rather you than me John, I’ve never done much small work with a soldering iron so it was a steep learning curve for me, and you’re right what the fuck is the shaky hand thing all about I was calm as anything, not too worried about scrapping the thing really but hands were shaking like I’d got a bad case of the dt’s.
Done it though off down to the harbour early tomorrow to catch high tide again.
Where I used to work the wiring shop boys would often solder stuff onto pcb boards under intense magnification to the extent you couldn’t make out what was going on by just looking at it, hats off to the skills methinks.

I have always had the shakes.. During a test for entry into the D.E.R college for television repairing we had to solder 8 wires in a 0's and X's grid
A couple of the other lads new I shook like a leaf and were cracking up..
I got top marks !
Its all a matter of bracing your self and timing te shakes LOL !! :)
