Got on with the 'racing ped'
Cut the top mount for the rear shock off the frame, repositioned it 4" forward and 1" down so the mount is below the height I want to mount the saddle
Took the forks out
Cut the 12.9mm out the middle of the stem, machined up a slug that will push inside it to keep it straight when I weld the top and bottom together
Cut 12.9m out of the down tube... machined up a thin walled pipe to push inside that to heep that straight when its welded together
That will do for today

Got up early, trimmed the Holly Oak into shape and trimmed all the hedges, cleaned out all the gutters, washed the gutters and facsias, serviced the bikes before putting them into storage for the winter, cut the grass (flipping still growing like mad as it's so mild), had a haircut, shower and shave (first shave for a week) all before noon.

Knackered now.

Lunch followed by sofa next on agenda.

Just had a nice chat with our lovely post lady, she is a real ray of sunshine. :)

Picked up my bank of carbs from the local bike place, made myself a flat white, ate a digestive & about to go on a marathon conference call which will probably last until gone 5.00pm

Oh, I've also volunteered to move some more PPE from Cambridge to Grantham on Thursday.

Fitted spark plugs. There ain’t any room to manoeuvre with big hands and spanners in the gap. Good job I’ve got the correct tools. 77263ACB-6AE4-47F3-9A83-21B267A87E8C.jpeg82ED2B17-F558-4174-833B-76D5535AE65B.jpegF2D02501-7457-4482-A900-CF6E01C20351.jpeg211F3263-0138-404A-89B8-687941226008.jpeg

Welded up the headstock and down tubes of the ped
Cut the handlebars off the mounting stub
Machined a new oval recess in the stub using the milling machine, then welded the bars back on upside down thereby getting them as low as possible
Painted all the bare metal and then fitted an air filter to the carb

For Beaker, what's the golf ball make?

For all the normal people here, what's the plug gap set to?
It's a Titleist.

Possibly a PrOV1.

Malone please confirm, also add a bit about the benefit of using ProV1s for subnormal people.

Had my builder chum call round for payment in his 5.0 mustang.

Think he may have upset a few of the neighbours :)

The plug gap is 0.8-0.9mm 31-35 thou, I just check that the replacement plugs are already the correct gap CR9EIA-9 , the 9 on the end signifies the pre-set gap (I always check though)

Now, obviously the golf balls are Titleist ProV1 as these are the only sensible ball to use. They’re currently collected when I walk miss Molly around the perimeter of Exeter golf club.

I'm a big fan of Calloway and Srixon 'soft' balls. Really like the soft feel on impact. Whether that stays the same when my new Ping irons arrive remains to be seen.

I was gives 12 dozen BMW logo ProVI s last year, must break them out some time.......

Replaced the cables on the garage door. Forty five minutes to do the side where the cable broke, five minutes to do the other side., Will be balancing it tomorrow.
