Cleared out the van, emptied the toilet cassette , then sat back while all the girls in the family blitzed the whole house from top to bottom !!
While we was away, had builder in to make a downstairs cubicle where Darrell is going to fit a loo.. They had to dig up a lot of the floor in both the kitchen and the extension to lay the new soil pipe and the house is covered in concrete dust
Grand daughters, daughters and daughter in law all set to at about 11 this morning and they are still at it !

He must have never heard of a wet concrete saw.

I took heating pipes across a concrete floor years ago. Wet saw was great, just watch for the spray. There really was no other way to run the pipes. I put in a metal trucking I got made to take a plywood cover so they could be accessed again as I had a compartment for cables as well.

As part of another dispute I was told "and I never wanted those pipes across floor"

I told her it was few years too late to change it.

It was not a matter of just channelling it out, the problem was the old drain had been slabbed over, then concreted over then had the extension built on top of it !

Bought myself a little project !!

Lots of little jobs for MOT etc etc and maybe ..... just maybe ... I am seriously thinking of turning into a Z3 Cobra lookalike !!

I’m 6’ 4” and squeeze in with Vaseline and a shoe horn !!

Well after a couple of weeks fun and spirited driving ... I took it to the Zedshed Basingstoke to work their magic on the suspension ...
But upon suspension disassembly things didn’t seem quite right!
A missing bolt here, odd bolts there, well hidden tie wraps holding brake sensor cables, and the discovery of a slight warp under a panel in the boot ..... on closer investigation it appears that the car had taken a hell of a hit one side at the rear years ago ! And major damage was bodged /hidden ! None of the recent MOTs had picked it up !!!!
So .... work stopped and I managed to get my money back from a local Z3 breaker (as it had some great parts on it, but the whole car was useless !!) so he bought it to strip and break up !!
But I did get a ride in a properly fettled 3.0 and realised how bad mine was .... I think I was very lucky !!!
It cost me 4 x breakfast sarnies for a few hours with a team of Zed 3 enthusiasts .... who’s honesty and openness were admirable ...
it just shows that there are some great people out there !!

I haven’t given up on the Cobra build BUT it won’t be with that car ..... I’m now thinking of using a sorted and fettled 3.0 z3 !! Plenty of grin factor!!

Went down to Bude today to look at a range of Royal Enfield Interceptors, a lot of bike for the money and have got to get rid of the Daytona as the arthritis in my neck makes it painful to ride more than 10 miles now.
Was informed it’s the best selling bike in the uk, any thoughts?

From what I have read & seen they are not bad bike but hardly inspiring, plenty of smaller jap bikes will do the same job & be more reliable but if i really had to have an Enfield it would have to be a real (old british) one or maybe the Himalayan which has something about it I like

Had another go at mother in law's porch, looks like rain so I decided not to start putting the felt on.

Amusingly two people stopped and asked if I could quote for jobs they needed doing. I explained that I wasn't a builder and gave them @sr71caspar contact details as I know he is keen on diy.

Just about to have a shower then lunch then watch the F1 that I missed this morning then live football then live golf.
