I got a really good looking pair of forks at a very good price. The guy didn't know much about them. They look the same as I have on my carbie bird. When I measure the stanchion length and diameter they seem the same as are on the bike. A bit of a guess as I have Jaws bar risers. The right hand fork has a sticker "Showa MAT-003" the same as on my bike. Does this refer to part number 51420-MAT-003 which would mean they are the same? My plan is to put new seals and springs in these and do a quick swap. I believe the later forks were different so I need to know what year they are for ordering bits.
Also, any advice on how I get the bike high enough to slide the forks out?
