yes,you are.....but don't let that stand in the way :} .don't personally know the road from llanwrtyd to llyn brianne res.travel through tregaron quite regularly,but never stopped there...toooo many mad farmers...they're doolaly :neenaw: :}
That road is one of the seven wonders of the world, absolutely spectacular. Devil's staircase is 1:3 with hairpin bends and the reservoir bears a striking resemblance to Norwegian fjords. One of our favourite routes when we used to live at Abergwesyn.

After Aber we could go inland via Devil's Bridge, Cwmystwyth and the Elan Valley. Ahhh bliss! Or south via Abereiron, got my whip from there, but that's another story.............

AND THE MEETING/RIDE DETAILS

all meet at the west end cafe,llandovery,carmarthenshire at a time between 11am-12pm mid-day(on the A40 main through road..you cannot miss it for the sheer number of bikers).depart at approx 12.30pm on first ride.the route is as follows........

saturday ride

travel up the A483...llandovery-beulah,then up the B4358 to newbridge on wye,then up the A470 to rhayader.down the B4518-unclassified roads through the elan valley,where we will have a stop off at the visitor centre for 15-30 mins(the scenery is truly magnificent)...then eventually pick up the B4574 to devils bridge,then the A4120,A4887 to aberystwyth..where we can have a toilet/food/fuel break*...then after this we travel south on the A487 until we turn into the A485..tregaron-lampeter-llanwrda,then back on the A40 up to llandovery to our accomodation before out for food and drinks.

sunday ride

after recovering from the "night before" and breakfast/packing etc...meet at west end cafe for 10.30ish and leave at 11'o'clock sharp.travel up the A40 to brecon,then pick up the B4520 through lower chapel,then up the B4519 over the eppynt ranges(some truly spectacular views...just ask artemis)down into garth,then up the A483 to builth-llandridnod wells-crossgates,then down the A44,then turn right down the A481 to hundred houses...where we have lunch ...should get there for approx 12.30-1.00pm.re: SUNDAY LUNCH.again,i will need to know how many will want this as to book the correct amount.after this,we shall say our fond farewells and leave for home :cry:

these chosen routes take in a variety of long-ish straights,long sweepers and tight twisties....plenty of sheep :blush: and some stunning scenery,and on our/my "favourites"list!!

on the saturday...please try to make sure that you have "fuelled up" so are ready for the ride.there are several filling stations en route just outside of llandovery,otherwise may cause delays.

the routes are on the maps below,which can be printed off if req'd,but i will also do about 20 or so copies....just in case.

should you require any more information,please PM me
