What a absolute BASTARD, had my BB for 6 days and off i came. Local road i know well, there's no overtakes on so was just sitting back bideing my time come to a slight left hander, canver in road towards other side, car in front slows, indicates to turn right, i slow down not a problem, coming up behind it (15/20mph)touch the front brake and the bike just go's from under me and we both slide into the back of the car. jump up after having put a nice dent in the boot of the car with my lid and see the start of bloody diesel spill all the way up my side of the road :bang:. the car driver behind said he thought he was going to run over me as he had trouble stopping . Police arrive close the road and send for the firebrigade to sort it out and i'm left with a damaged bike :B and a few bumps etc and the loss of ncb + excess :B.

From a absolutely gutted Dave.

Glad to hear you are ok Peo. my off (1st real one in 19 yrs) in July nearly cost me my life at 20 mph too, although I had a myopic premenstral merc driver to assist my flight through a road sign.

At least a bike can be repaired/replaced. Lets hope this is your one and only..

Ride safe

Peo, really sorry to hear that M8.

Glad you're OK though, at least the bike can be repaired.

Does anyone know if it's possible to claim via the MIB for an uninsured loss. I thought the rule was that the accident is caused by a vehicle that would be expected to be insured under the road traffic act. Either the vehicle is unknown or is found not to be insured.
In this case an unknown vehicle has deposited the diesal..???

Thanks all, sorry to say slid into the car that was turning right so i have to go through the insurance. regarding the diesel in was right in the middle of the road which lends it self more to a bus than a wagon i'd say. either way it happened so no point crying over spilt milk/diesel :B . just going to get it sorted and back on the road.

I've ordered a BB T shirt from Jaws now nothink can go wrong there can it.

only joking john, got your email thanks anyway.
Dave.
