I well remember thing that I should stop wearing jeans at age 35 at the latest

As time has gone on things have changed,,,,,,,, I have tried wearing various types of trousers over the years and I always fee out of place and uncomfortable... So at 69 I am still wearing jeans

Should there be a cut off age when jeans become naff ?
Cannot see me changing and will proly go to meet my maker wearing them !

Funnily enough a similar thought crossed my mind while wandering around Brighton yesterday - very few 'mature' people, look good in jeans, best left to the youngsters.

I haven't worn a pair for years; combat style trousers are my casual weapon of choice.

Oddly I put those firmly in thje jeans dept., or do you mean fashionista combat kacks rather than the pucka things ?

It very much depends on the individual. I've seen plenty of men way too old for jeans and just as many kids that look like a sack of shit tied in the middle in jeans. I wear 501s all the time but I can pull it off.

Go to 'Merica and I've seen men old enough to be my great granddad wearing jeans and they don't look at all bad so I guess it could be a geographic thing too.

Combats are usually worn by budding serial killers.

Firmly with you on this one Andy. Combats every time. Plenty of pockets to carry your man stuff in and more room for your bollocks.

I refer you to Mr Beakers other thread regarding the ginger gene. It's not my fault it's the voices.
What, you mean the voices are making you keep asking me stupid questions?

Semi smart single colour with a couple of big pockets for my massive wedge.

Look rubbish with a jacket on, fine with a tee shirt.

Agree with Oldandbald.... combats every time (it's all about the storage) plus t-shirt, "lumberjack" style shirt and either a pair of Merrells or walking boots. If I ever get an OBE then Lizzy's just going to have to dress down on the day.

Haven't worn jeans for donkey's years. When ever I think of jeans on older guys I think of Clarkson.

I have been wearing pukka combats for about 40 years & see no reason not carry on as I am, jeans are reserved for the very occasional outing, but in all honesty I couldn't give a toss what anyone else thinks of what I wear, I'm comfy & happy with it so that's all that matters

As I aproach 60 I still wear jeans (unless I have to wear smart for work) simply because of the comfort factor.

However, what I have done over the years is move away from the traditional Denim blue (although I still have some blue ones) and gone to other colours such as Black, Beige, light tan which don't immidiately look like jeans but still offer the comfort and practicality.

But then I have not worn T shirts for years as they make me look fatter than perhaps I really am and I switched to Polo shirts many years ago.

So same question really, should there be a cut off age for wearing T shirts?

I just had a delivery of a couple of pairs of jeans moments ago .... didn’t have to go to the shop and delivered for less than £10 each !

I always wear jeans when at home or it’s casual at work.
I have smart jeans and older jeans .... and doing DIY jeans!

I tried Chinos for a few years and have a pair of cords ... BUT jeans are my fallback !
PS Yes for polo shirts too !!!

I’ve got about eight pairs of jeans but rarely wear them, don’t find them comfortable.
